NRG are going to absolutely shit the bed this year. They lost the 2 best Optic players and the weaknesses with Crashies and Victor are gonna show. Ardiis is fairly close to yay but som is not good enough of a replacement for Marved and they're gonna struggle very hard at the beginning. Maybe they'll improve as the season goes on but I'm not expecting much.

Nismo was the top performing player of challengers 2, Zander is a proven high tier igl, Eeiu is probably the best initiator in NA after the franchised ones, koala and johnqt are great duelists. It's literally just ghost gaming but - the weaker players and + some much stronger ones. Faze and TGRD are obviously gonna be strong, but this squad has a lot of potential.

Smokes help you to flank without getting seen by traps, Updraft helps you get unexpected off angles for your odin, Dash allows you to flank faster and also avoid enemies faster, and finally bladestorm helps you to save for an Odin if you can't afford one. it's not even the long sightlines really, it's how big the map is. every single part of it is too big and it's too much to cover, both for attackers and defenders. there's 5 places for the defenders to be watching so it's impossible for them to have presence everywhere without traps, and even then that's not much of a countermeasure. it's also way too easy to get flanked as an attacker for this same reason. most other maps have 4ish main chokes or areas to hold, allowing for defenders to at least have 2 people playing on one of them, and also reduces the risk of getting flanked as an attacker. breeze doesn't have this, and that's why it sucks to play.
