Yeah that's the biggest difference between NA and SEA, the fact that Riot is able to broadcast matches on proper platforms. The LATAM company Riot outsources NA to doesn't own a streaming service, but if they did I'm sure Riot would be okay with exclusivity too. Just a really shitty deal.

Riot as a whole just does not give enough of a fuck to their tier 2 scenes. Look at how they're running NA tier 2, bringing in a production company that says they'll run the league for the absolute bare minimum (literally cost is slightly above the prizepool)

The SOOP deal went through because SOOP said they'd handle everything at a low cost, and Riot was totally okay with that. They should be willing to invest more money so that tier 2 scenes can properly grow, because the way the VCT circuit is being run there's enough potential for Tier 2 to be just as popular as Tier 1 in some regions, especially Asia.

you have to understand that stax has mostly played flash initator during his career (Skye, KAY/O, Breach). Recon initiator was filled by Rb and Zest.

I would say iZu is a better fit than Stax (hypothetically) because iZu has flexed to every role in the game, whereas Stax was always locked into initiator roles.
Guy has never touched an agent that was an initiator. iZu puts up good performances on Yoru/Raze, Viper, Sova, Cypher, etc.

Ivy has also demonstrated a similar level of flexibility as well.

2 igls on team korea is definitely a choice when free1ng, ivy, and izu are available for the recon initiator spot

While money is pretty inflated in eSports I think that's really only applicable to the very upper echelon of the league and not so much for tier 2. I would say that Bob is probably getting paid roughly similarly to other tier 2 players, maybe slightly more. That's my speculation though. But Flyquest afaik is not a rich org and I doubt they'd be paying their GC team any significant bucks.

I feel like if you're in tier 2 in general what Bray is offering is something you'd at least consider.
As for time spent and reputation, for sure it's hard to throw those things away for 5 digits - but if you've struggled to reach the big leagues for your entire career and you're starting to suffer from burnout I can see the bag being a good way to exit the scene. Not saying that Bob or anyone would do it, but if I were in that position I'd consider it.

Besides, eSports is only really a long-term career possibility if you make it to tier 1 and are present there enough to build a fanbase. I don't know of any tier 2 player who has enough reputation to sustain themselves in the industry without either swapping jobs drastically (like going from player to production, dev, etc.) or having already been a streamer or something prior to going pro.

i could lowkey understand it since tier 2 salaries are like 4 digits and bray is giving out paydays in the low-mid 5 digits per game that can go up to high 5s or even low 6s (iirc?)
