buh how is a masters a domestic double? there's not really a masters equivalent in football since champions league has nothing that's directly below it internationally maybe other than FIFA club world cup
personally, i think winning 2 masters in a year has more worth than winning a single champs
like wise making 2 masters finals in a year is better than making 1 champs finals.
out of all the lists here i think this is the best one. although personally I think boaster = saadhak = FNS, this list does show everyone who is considered to be among the best IGLS to play the game
naaaa lmfao yea im rooting against m80, that matchup would be legendary(its a joke)
finally a valid list but some honorable mentions are
aspas wasnt doing shit in 2023 bro, these 4 dominated, aspas is best duelist of 2023 and most consistent duelist of 2024 but he didn't do as well as the other 4 on the list in 2023. he is an all time GOAT but not the 2023 GOAT. he might have beat something
is it derke , demon1, something or jinggg
naaa apac is not realy fair cause whatever said and done GenG is an insane team I don't think they'll be bad next year(they're not PRX)
FNS and ardiss watchparty >>>>>
FNS like analyses stuff and makes it easy to understand and is a funny jinx and ardiss is just a humours fat man like the Chinese fans say.
tarik kinda just shouts and doesn't really analyse and just reacts
o7, never hated you as a player but I sure did hate your fans
it wouldnt have mattered because nobody other than him and chron were even shooting back in shanghai. alfajer had a bad tournament, boaster was practically non existent and derke was having I think the worst tournament of his entire career. there was no way they were ever gonna beat GenG or Th or even G2 cause these teams were just better in every way. Th took a hit in split 1 from FNC where they kinda threw and allowed for a reverse sweep by FNC in the finals.
probably the best initiator in the world and a great mid-round caller. he solo carried FNC to shanghai this year
they clear the champs heretics by a mile. woot was bullying on duelist and pattitek was a beast of a controller. i like miniboo man but the team was wayyyy more balanced with pattitek in my opinion. i could be wrong and woot and patitek might have had a life tournament but idts. the only team that could really bea them were G2 and GenG and G2 got demolished in the lower finals when TH got into their stride. GenG was GenG so they lost but they choked the last 2 maps and might have actually won the shanghai finals
ah welp i think he wanted to leave for a long time and only came back cause elma needed help...
lets hope elma can do well or FNC is fucked. they lost their main duelist as well so whoever is gonna replace derke is gonna have to do gods work
i dont think ardiss was ever on the level of derke and plus ardiss performed alright tbh. its just that he had horrible moments that overshadowed his good ones
well what ur saying here does make sense but in the end now that he's come out of the support system that FNC has built around him well be able to see his true performance. i still believe hell perform at his insane levels but only time will tell.
as for his agent comp derke has always been in the top 5 duelists conversation every year day in day out. aspas also has a great ecosystem behind him so attributing the majority of derkes success to FNC is in my opinion very wrong. as for carry derke carried FNC to most of their event before 2023 when they got the superteam. his performance dipped at the start of 2024 but so did everyone's except leo.
plus stats don't really lie and in this case derke as an entry duelist is certainly(to my knowledge) top 3 including aspas and maybe demon/something/jawgemo. oxy is good but you cant really decide on the results of one match and he's stuck in a shitty team so we cant really compare them cause they're both in different ecosystems. we'll see on how derke is able to adapt outside of FNC
bro look at his tournament stats lmfao. he's probably the among the top 3 of all time in duelists, every fucking pro in the world agrees.
HUH? we just forgot about GenG and Sen and EDG who all actually won a trophy ?. heretics are the 4th best team of the year bro.... i mean sure they're consistent but so is GenG and they won and made it to 5/6 granfinals
tf is going on? does anyone know ?
started with gambit cause i loved nats and chron and I liked their playstyle although many people call it boring. then after they disbanded( they were a russian org) I started supporting m3c for 2022 but they didn't really do well so I switched between optic and loud fr a while and then didn't watch VCT In 2022. in 2023 i supported FNC cause chronicle and i liked PRX as well. in 2024 i loved the new GenGs playstyle and how fun the players were(like sexture for example), i supported FNC as my second team.during playoffs i supported EDG cause they looked good and i liked the story behind them.
have been a d1 sen hater since the start cause of the tenz fanboys
heart disease ususally means ur heart can handle high levels of activity. playing and travelling puts a decent amount of stress on your heart and that's probably why she/ the team don't wanna take the risk.
wait florescent is trans? didnt know that damn
o7 the best valorant player japan has produced to date
i mean on his own hes alright but with different combos he dominates. you could argue that he's only decent in a group but the issue is that all LOT of the util in that group supports gekko wayy to much in my opinion with almost every comp having gekko in it. the only exception is like ascent or split since he's bad there because of all the high low angles and the boxes etc but on every other map its seems like he has an extremely high pickrate.
people might say iso is OP or even neon but gekko is on another level. his flash is OP cause you cant dodge and its perfect for info gathering since it also gives you the direction of the players, wingman is way to OP since ATK side basically becomes 6v5 with the whole squad fighting instead of just 4 and the advantage he gives when he plants for example on bind is wayyyy to OP. his ult is alright since you can shoot it down pretty easily but it does gives an insane amount of info. his mash is alright since its not hard to dodge.
do you agree or disagree?
i think karon beats chichooo as a smokes player. yes chichooo performed at an insane level in champs but karon was insane all year around PLUS he was also a rookie.
munchkin clears boo. if you watched the other final boo got outread sooo many times it was pretty insane
flex has to be woot, chronicle was good but woot was on another level
yea. paris would probably get an insane amount of views
pattitek was good but woot was HARD carrying with reines and benjy being massive support. they didn't really have an insane initiator/ controller like woot so the comps weren't nearly as flexible since woot couldn't play any other duelist other than raze and jett. the TH comps rn are EXTREMELY flexible plus the average level of the teams at champs is just wayyyy better than that of shanghai. plus woot can't produce those insane numbers all the time. miniboo performed well in the end of their run and carried TH multiple times so he doesn't deserve all the hate that he's getting.
i mean if you factor in the location I still think that the stats are insane especially considering the matches were at like 4AM to NA which comprise of the majority of the Non Chinese viewers.
EMEA has always been a one team region. the only time they were decent was in 2021 where we had FNC and Gambit. 2022 was FPX, 2023 was FNC and 2024 was TH.
dk the exact stats but i think they had 52 million interactions this final so I'm pretty sure we could say that they got AT LEAST 10 million Preak viewers.
yea i wish we had access to the chinese viwership stats. its gonna be insane, especially considering more than 50% of the people watching Seoul and shanghai would be Chinese
this really proves how much of the valorant fanbase is north American. its clearly visible.
thx for going through all that effort though
PRX DID NOT have that much clout in 2022 my man. they started to gain a massive global following AFTER that event
just saw that there was some talk on league being introduced into the olympics??
is this true??
naaa imagine faker getting a GOLD medal(practically guaranteed when you see how good Korean LOL is).
he's already the GOAT of esports but a gold in an Olympics would cement his status
yea sure mate. im not going to argue with closet brainded SEN fan
bro can u fuck off. im not even talking to you
I'm talking with a guy who actually knows how to make an argument and gives facts and doesn't just say shit for the sake of saying shit
what ur saying makes a lot of sense but the upper finals as someone above pointed out had derke(one of the most consistent duelists of his time) massively underperforming
the score in the Upper finals was
LOTUS: 13-3 in FNC's favor where everyone dragged
Fracture: 13-9 in EG's favor where derke went 13/17
Split: 13-11 in FNC's favor where derke went 11/22 and leo had to carry FNC
I think the nerfed EG claims are going a bit too far as are the FNC burnout claims(including the one I made). FNC did suffer a burnout but it shouldn't have had as much of an impact that it did. as for EG suffering a burnout they basically didn't play Lock//in where they got knocked out second round by talon. FNC did play an extra event but the burnout is an overplayed card
as for the EG nerf claim yes, they did play with a slight nerf where they would have been behind at the start of the tournament but I'm pretty sure(I could be wrong) that they played split 1 with demon1 so it couldn't have been that much of a change to go back and play with him again. by the end of the tournament I think they had gotten settled and were all able to perform at their peak.
the GF was a close affair if you look at the maps where FNC had to make a small come back from 12-9 in the end to get the 3-0 but everyone on FNC was criminally underperforming till the end where alfa and derke went ballistic on bind.
as for the lotus issue I haven't really researched on it and dotn want to so I'm gonna trust your word for it.
in the end I think they both were the top 2 teams on the scene that year and the EG>FNC or FNC>EG is just an opinion in the end.
they both probably get grouped by the current GenG, TH and SEN
