That's a decent point. Still need to know if optic can beat eu

1) i acknowledged that
2) those regions dont have nearly the playerbase or depth
3) EMEA is one region in valorant. If it were 3 fully fledged regions, they'd have individual qualifiers like every other legitimate region
4) you have misunderstood my point. Im saying the winner of berlin guaranteed another spot in champs for their region. I.e. gambit winning meant fnatic went to champs. If NV won, they would have sent 100T
5) yes that was good. Would have preferred if it stayed that way considering NA made 2 masters finals and won 1. The only other region to make finals in masters last year was emea. Emea deserves 3 spots fs.

Thanks for making actual arguments instead of hating :) respect

I'm not saying they do, but there is a lot of fishy evidence.

1) for a second time, the only teams from NA face off in round one of bracket play
2) there are only 2 teams from NA to begin with
3) last year the team that one masters 1 got to take another team to masters 2... this time EMEA gets 3 slots again without showing anything worthy last masters.
4) last year the winners of berlin sent another team from their region... this time the number of teams is locked without regard to performance in order to make room for SA which hadnt shown anything outside of KRU.... And this was decided before masters 1, even.
5) in the end, NA could win both masters and still only take 2 teams to champs... and with it being even harder for them to win both masters bc one is gping straight to the losers bracket no matter what.

I know EMEA has had to play each other in brackets a lot too, but it's not as egregious and you still have 3 teams without regard to performance

There's a 3 way tie in match standings, so then it goes to head to head... but in that 3 way tie, every team is 1 and 1. A beat B, B beat C, and C beat A (kind of thing). So H2H cannot be used. Tiebreaker is then map score in which faze is ahead. EG and LG are tied in map score, so it goes to round differential where EG are ahead

Unpopular take but i want to see it too

His value is reduced off of sova, and there are plenty of players that can match his util value while also fragging more and more directly supporting teammates with presence. Maybe they can steal skuba after the group stage is over.

posted about 2 years ago

They're not going anywhere with Jerk. Time to pick up BabyJ lol

posted about 2 years ago

You have to remember that many of these clutch situations are unwinnable... especially given hikos playstyle, he is in 1v3,4,5, situations a lot more than most support players. Add onto that that you shouldnt be winning much more than like 20% of your 1vXs... 1/27 is bad, especially for Hiko with his reputation, but that is just one event.

posted about 2 years ago

Personally, I don't think 100T woll win until they move on from Hiko. Ofc he's great in the clutch, but he is in the clutch way more than he needs to be for obvious reasons.
That being said, here's a possible path forward:
1) Swap Hiko for critical if pioneers actually drop him. If not, try to get ABX vice... he can even igl if it doesnt go well with ethan as igl
2) when knights inevitably lose and dont go to masters, pay whatever buyout to get skuba. Mans farming on controller
3) either resign babyj bc there's no great reason to have dropped him, or sign dizzylife to have a legitimate jett player

posted about 2 years ago

They can't find hiko to drop him tho. He's not with the team jafeel

I'm very confused about how the nsg circuit points are working in terms of aeeding, but this is the most egregious case...

Anyone have insight? Were they under a different name?

No

Wow some of yall looking pretty clown in retrospect huh

I hope so

Curry needs to go back to a support role. I've never seen him perform on duelist or flex

Fnatic are looking for a Sova main in replacing Doma. Any suggestions? I think ghengsta might be a decent option

posted about 2 years ago

I think they'll make it out of groups again, obviously, but they have to play against 2 major region teams yet again. I think the obvious optimal groups would be 1 EMEA team for each group and then divide the 3 NA + VS evenly again.

Plat chat suggested him back when he played for imt. They needed a young igl with new ideas and to adapt to the meta. Rossy wqs the example they came up with. I still think that reasoning applies a bit

posted about 2 years ago

That was bad, and this is worse imo

posted about 2 years ago

Ye somewhat

posted about 2 years ago

I know why it happened. Im aware that it was random. The "why" is somewhat rhetorical... :)

posted about 2 years ago

Same reason. It wasn't a good idea either time. I think this is worse, tho...

Why, riot?!

Anyone know what the tiebreaker will be between these teams in terms of VCT points? They have the same amount for the number 2 slot going to champions

Yeah i read it was bc of the challengers finals... which is fucking dumb. They base that shit off a seeding game?

posted about 2 years ago

The popular word is that he'll go to TSM, but since FaZe might drop rawkus, sinatraa might be on the docket. What do you guys think?

posted about 2 years ago

...yes...?

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah it definitely has to do with that but that's obviously a horrible way to do rankings. If u qual into events with teams better than u, it's still better than not qualling then beating up on tier 2

posted about 2 years ago

Fair enough. No harm done. Cheers mate

posted about 2 years ago

Anyone else see what I mean? LG has been pretty consistently qualifying for big events and are only losing to top teams and yet are ranked below NRG, IMT, etc... where as, for instance, C9 is top 5 despite not qualifying or even coming close. The disrespect is upsetting

And now C9 is ahead of xset (somehow)

posted about 2 years ago

Fair point about lcq actually. Agreed

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think he got too much of a chance tbh and he looked fine in the matches he did play so ima haffa disagree

posted about 2 years ago

Should ABX pick up Poiz if C9 refuses to play him?

Maybe even floppy too tbh, tho there might be better options like mummay if they can get him

posted about 2 years ago

Sorta agree

posted about 2 years ago

Ok yeah ban maybe not choice # one. Check my original edit

posted about 2 years ago

I only said its not an issue bc i already addressed it in another reply. No need to be toxic by suggesting idk how crucial it is

posted about 2 years ago

Im not underrating igl in general. I understand it's importance for sure. They are a tough commodity to come by... but with that being said it's not like pho is a proven igl. He's only been igl for less than a month... so let's not talk about him like he's tenured on this team at all. Temperature and branted are both capable of taking up igl. Whether they want to or not is certainly a potential issue. I believe rn potter is still essentially in charge of strats... igl is just carrying out her plan... sorta like when gMd was igl for geng

posted about 2 years ago

Aim, yes, but pro play requires some agent comp flexibility. EG will be just a shitty LG as long as they live and die by the reyna

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah roca would be fine if he played more than reyna but he's been on reyna only for over a year... so i doubt it

posted about 2 years ago

Possibly. Still from a weak region, which was the main point

posted about 2 years ago

I think aleksander is better than thief tbh... i think mummay might be a good choice, but the only duelist he plays is jett, and u just saw boostio on jett. Governor i dont think is actually that good in pro play.

Igl isnt an issue. Pho has only been igl since potter stepped down

posted about 2 years ago

You act like they didnt just switch igls when potter moved to coaching lol. Pho started as igl, what? A week ago? Temperature and branted are both capable of igling. Plus it's still just carrying out potter's vision at this point.

posted about 2 years ago

Ban plays sage too and roles are constantly changed

posted about 2 years ago

Also lg will likely drop ban

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah... that was when they were still trying to make a mixed roster work. Sometimes players rejoin orgs. Weirder things have happened. Maybe sign drone instead... im not sure. The idea is really that pho is questionable and why theyd want a reyna-only player on an org like eg beats me

posted about 2 years ago

Squitle Squad isn't an org and aleksander isn't signed with abx as far as we know. Obviously I'm talking about after this tournament
