idk I think the more likely explanation is that they just forgot

No. 2 ngl. Most of y'all are fine but there is a VERY vocal minority who are just mindlessly toxic for no reason

Every team will go through a bad phase at some point so I can overlook that
I don't really fw the whole 'global' gimmick but ill be real I don't care enough to say more on it

now that they have to play with a sub (no matter how good he is) I don't see a main roster change ngl. But if Leo comes back and they still don't do well maybe a coaching change would be my guess

Like maybe only being able to use your main ability and ult, I would enjoy it ngl. It would basically just make the game more like CS

I've lived in Riyadh, Karachi and Bangkok where the summers are considered super 'hot' if you only look at the value of the thermometer.
But in England it's easily the worst, mostly because of the humidity combined by the fact that our houses are built like ovens.

Our houses are built to insulate heat, and even new houses don't have AC units built into them. Not to mention that they're super expensive to retrofit.

I think if they make it to champs I think they can make a deep run, because if they do fall short I think it will be in regional playoffs. The only scenario where maybe I'd agree with you is if they make it through because of circuit points

fyi 'issue' here is subjective

How was lock//in bad?
Whilst I agree the lack of sportsmanship was abhorrent, you have to understand sportsmanship is out of etiquette and respect, which is a cultural issue, and not one which necessarily pertains to the crowd.

Even from the perspective of a FNC fan I thought it was really cool that the players made a library out of the crowd. Just because you aren't aurally stimulated from your tiktok brainrot attention span every 0.2 seconds doesn't mean the crowd is boring.

posted about 2 years ago

The thing is politics is inherently tied to nationalism. Whilst I wouldn't go as far as saying crowds are 'Nationalistic' it is similar to the 'home team' concept. The issue with VCT in this context is that riot themselves try and police what is right and wrong.

You could throw any superstar into any team back then and have a 40% chance they'll win whatever tournament they're playing. TenZ also had the whole of Masters 1 and the interim between reykjavik. It's obviously not easy to play as a sub so I question why you point that out. What I'm comparing is the relative difficulty stacked up against one another, then using that comparison to rank the impact each sub had on their respective team. TH expected to have miniboo for this event, it was a last minute call. SEN absolutely knew TenZ was going to play at Masters 2 months in advance

the Zowie GSR is the ceiling for mousepads for recommending to absolutely anyone (so good for 99.7% of people)

posted about 2 years ago

TenZ was good. But I think now it's much harder to get further as a sub, simply because of how strategically deep the game has become.

He was kinda mid though ngl, sure he got them thru groups but he also forced them into lowers and dipped

See I don't think they're lying at all when they say they make these changes to deal with smurfing.
But from me playing I think smurfing is still at the same level if not worse

posted about 2 years ago

this will only work up to a certain point btw, in my experience once you hit ascendant its harder to climb consistently if you don't focus on playing with your team, but if you want to brute force this methodology you can probably get to low immortal

posted about 2 years ago

The mentality that helped me to deal with this is just stop caring about your rank, and just start focusing on yourself in game. If people comm and play with you its a huge bonus, but don't expect it until you're at least ascendant for example, if your team loses 2 players instantly, and its now a 3v5, instead of thinking 'my teamates are making me lose rr and theres nothing I can do, so I'm not gonna try this round/game', think 'ok its a 3v5, we probably aren't gonna win this round, but let me try and play tactically to see if I can make it close'.

tl;dr
life gives you lemons

Wait really? thats boring.
I found this format to be so good, they have so much more potential with the team picking thing too

I can't say for certain why I don't get those kind of frames, I've used the actual microsoft dock and everything. But even if I could get that FPS that doesn't avoid the issue of taking a keyboard mouse and monitor everywhere

yeah I was sorta thinking about it anyway but it was in the back of my head of whether I should or not, but like 70% of my gaming hours are spent on val so it defo helped convince me.

Yeah you drive a compelling point, most people have playstations now days which is probably why I'll be going back on what I said about getting an Xbox. To me exclusives are whatever ngl, I usually play multiplayer games.

posted about 2 years ago

I already have a pretty decent laptop, and even it can't even run val on 120Hz @ 1080p downscaled. + If I want to use the full potential of a big ass brick laptop with cheesy gamer branding I'd have to also carry around a monitor keyboard and mouse, which is a lot more annoying than just a console and a controller. Since most places have a TV to use already

posted about 2 years ago

I thought about it a bit, but an ITX pc would cost way too much, i've already spent way too much on building my current PC but its HEAVY, so I can't take it up with me until I have a place. (I'll probably be living around hotels/airbnbs until I can find one).

Also If I did build one I'd have no use for it when I do end up moving my PC, but I can still use the console on a TV or take it around with me. I've ended up going for the Xbox which should be easy enough to carry around in a medium sized suitcase.

Well, if only if I had thought of that! Thanks buddy

Ok thanks a lot will cop the Xbox

posted about 2 years ago

ngl I don't really play any singleplayer games, mostly multiplayer games which are available on both platforms so for me game selection is whatever tbh

posted about 2 years ago

I’m moving out for uni and won’t have my pc for a few months. With val releasing on console that’s sorta the last thing I needed to get me to buy a console.
But I have no clue which is better. So tell me which one you think is and why

posted about 2 years ago

If you have good movement you have two chances to kill your enemy, where they only have one (assuming you’re the same skill level and that your enemy isn’t moving)
