I think eg would have a very high chance of winning americas not because the players themselves but because those player would still be under potter who would continue to maximize their potential and play.

they do and they don't need that. theyve relied on leaf go kill strat for so long now and it was their greatest strength and weakness, if leaf got two they most likely could secure the round but sometimes leaf would just be sent to his death. It's no fault of leafs he an intelligent amazing player but i feel like teams could easily anti strat for it. I think the system needs to change particularly protocols watching team comms the team seems to be super flowy and I think more patience would help them catch more timings while maximizing utility of players before they are/needed to be traded.

So wippie is gone and it appears jakee is gone too (he has been streaming everyday for awhile since tweeting about something) and the rumors are there are advanced talks with moose and runi. I don't know how to feel about these changes if they are true. Wippie wasn't really the issue on C9 and wasn't bad (or great) during kickoff/preseason events, but with him being dropped I got some hopium thinking maybe this roster had the chance to sign some real star power. That hope quickly vanished when I just skimmed through the market on who we could pick up and the odds of c9 picking up panacada were slim. Looking like jakee getting bench is tough such a young talent that has a chance to develop on a supporting role is such a rare thing I can't really see a reason to him being gone. If moose were to come in I'm not super sure what to expect I haven't seen him play in so long but when I did he was decent, and runi I know what to expect and just not sure if I trust him. runi doesn't mechanically wow me and listening to an interview with mce have my doubts on his ability to shine in big moments. I'm really just anxious with mce and leaf leaving to start, then the new roster, the highs of 5 maps on fanatic, to dropping the ball in kickoff, to these roster changes c9 has me emotional exhausted.

Think they should be aware of stupid shit at the international level there is a big meta difference there with what they do and what agents they play together, with some real psychos over there like marteen, kang kang, and the boo bros (and maybe the king of dumb shit angel). I think NRG really should focus on their comps the lack of sent on split was rough and they got taken advantage of big time, SEN played great and I think with time NRG will be a really good team.

I have heard Oxygen was their favorite scrim partners last year and this offseason in an interview with Rob Moore when he talked to Kaplan as they were trying to organize the SEN show matches

It's wild to me the depth of talent in NA. These teams all have players that could be tier 1 anywhere in the world, and its encouraging to hear that teams like M80 and Oxygen are pushing the top VCT teams in scrims. I'm concerned that players might get poached to bigger orgs as I'm hopefully that these teams can build something that will boost the tier 2 scene into a bigger spotlight with more support from riot.

I didn't see nor engage in any of these threads. Not surprised they existed, vlr is full of overreact oswalds. I can't comment if these were from SEN fans or agreed upon by majority of SEN fans. What I do know is that the positions and playstyles of Sacy and Tenz are vastly different and I think Tenz is encouraged to be proactive, which can account for some weaker score lines when those plays don't pan out., while Sacy being on skye and sova has to play a lot more conservative in his approaches for how SEN approaches their retakes and entry positions. Sacy while not top fragging has provide so many impact frags that effect rounds on loses and wins, and I agree should be credited more with his role in the team. Stats I consider to be lackluster in the aspect of judging a player's complete performance on a map, and anyone using those as a sole justification for singling out a players performance whether that be a fan or an outsider should maybe adjust how they view and think of the game. If you have seen the impact and come to your own conclusion that these players are solid then that's all you need, fans of a team rely on and sometimes need the copium (myself included, C9 could make a run but will likely be mid table) and sometimes you gotta just smile at a fan base and carry on.

I haven't seen any hate nor underserved praise for Sacy anywhere, nor much of that for Tenz either with expectation of pre-offseason mickey mouse games where people saying he should be benched off smokes. They have both played very well in kickoff from my perspective just at different levels of impact on different maps. I personally thought Tenz on lotus was great with flashes really setting his team up well, while sprinkling in some good frags. Sacy was doing the same, particularly on split with some good flashes and that nice shut down on b heaven that really helped the players on the site. I however am just impressed with Sacy he looks more comfortable with this team and his agents than he did last year. I think this team is going to be a top 4 team in Americas.

very good thread, I quite enjoyed reading. Very informative and intriguing debate of agent utility vs player effectiveness.

The lack of prep is certainly an issue for this team, mid-season should look a lot better. The roster on paper seems middling but given how their matches have gone so far, the seem to have the firepower to compete. The comps they have run are a bit interesting, but they seemed have some ideas they are testing out. Cyro being off entry I think is a good change. With chamber buffs incoming it'll be interesting to see if they incorporate him into their comps, as currently they haven't run the Cypher or KJ. Strategically they look unorthodox really just getting aggressive in a lot of situations. I was confused when they used the same A hit several times on split vs SEN. I wasn't disappointed as I was pulling for SEN to win as they just showed a lot really cool ideas throughout the whole series. Overall, I think 100T fans should be reluctant on setting any expectations. If this season goes south fast, I wouldn't be surprised to see Boostio bringing in a new core for next year.

great player yes goat no not by a long shot, can be the most accomplished for sure but when i assess BEST i look at skill, he plays at a very high skill level just not top tier (ex. derke), so yeah it would be cool to watch this guy collect hardware (he likely will this a fnc super team) but i personally dont consider him the best unless i see a lil more
