Last I heard about it was a couple of months ago, Ultra Prime were in the partnership application stages and looking to switch their Overwatch division (Guangzhou Charge) over to VALORANT if they secure a VCT slot. They're one of the orgs interested in acquiring ASE (or at least were back then, haven't heard anything else since), though ASE apparently want to compete in Ascension first.

No idea where it all stands right now, but I'm hoping it happens.

Absolutely heartbroken as always watching this team. They actually cannot catch any kind of break with who they face in brackets, it's unreal. They're clearly top 4 in the region, maybe even top 3, but they always just seem to run into one of the few teams better than them relatively early in the bracket.

Sucks, hurts seeing them lose a winnable game yet again, as always I'm kinda pissed seeing EDG fans flaming like they weren't taken to the absolute limit when they were overwhelming favourites going in. GG, go lower bracket run I guess.

As much as I want ASE to carry on their good recent form (barring last ACT's slight misstep in the knockouts), it's an EDG 2-0. I'm willing to say that they won't be blowouts at least, it'll be two games of like... 13-9 or something.

This team really needs to do something about how they fall behind by 5+ rounds to start almost every game. It happens pretty much no matter the level of their opponents. Whatever coaching they have obviously works well during matches, because they almost always pull it back and end up winning. It just feels like they never prep beforehand and it bites them in the ass without fail.

What a lame end to a pretty fun game.

Yeah, massive win for ASE. Revenge against the team that knocked them out of ACT 1, really cements their place as a top CN team now. They look fantastic.

RA 2-1, but there's at least a possibility of ASE 2-1. Looking like the best iteration of ASE yet, very exciting. They may very well be the 3rd best team in China right now, just really unfortunate during ACT 1 that the two teams they ran into in the final bracket happened to be both finalists. Made it kinda hard to tell exactly where they fall in the order.

It's actually incredible how in-control ASE can seem at the start of games and then come so close to throwing it all by the end. Never a dull moment, I guess.

Go into a match with seemingly no prep, get their asses handed to them for a bit, make actually great mid-match adjustments to just start running away with it, start trolling, troll WAY too hard and give the other team a way back in, just about manage the win regardless.

God I love this team.

Other than that, not a fan at all of them playing without Bunt and especially Monk, but Yuicaw was actually way better today than I expected.
