NA teams are the best at playing solo, but the worst at playing as a team. That's why NA dominated in Chamber meta, cause it let your best mechanical player play alone and succeed. Now that it's a more team based meta, NA teams are set to struggle since they have terrible teamplay. C9 picked up worse players that were way better at supporting their team, that is why they are successful. C9 played a better team game today than any NA team ever has. NRG gets bailed out by Chet and FNS creating great set plays, but when it's non-set utility, they're still just a mid ass team with teamplay.

NA sucks because NA can't stack their teams effectively like other regions can. Simple as that.

posted about a year ago

EMEA plays it so slow that it's impractical to compare them to any other region.

It's pearl defense. It's like split attack. get a 9-3 or lose outright. It's how every single pearl goes with good teams.

I don't think PRX are better than Sen. Mindfreak has been such a non-entity in 2023, I can't believe in PRX until he gets back to even playing decent. I also think Zeta could still beat RRQ.

It's pearl defense, the worst defense side in the whole game, MIBR should win

Not every day do you face a mf who will swing as wide as heat does. Most play by spike or by the box, but heat just wide swings in the open

Shit map in ranked cause this map needs 2 controllers but every one of my ranked teams see one controller and insta lock their duelists of choice.

Send Zombs to PRX. DRX wouldn't even get a round.

I was wondering why Fut looked so bad in redbull and so good since.

I DIDN'T REALIZE THEY DIDN'T HAVE QW1 AT REDBULL. They were playing without their main duelist. That's why everyone underrated these guys, qw1 does so much for them. I've had them as a possible Tokyo team since week one EMEA.

It's fair, Dicey was debatably more of a chamber crutch than Yay was. It's hard for him since he was never an actual sentinel.

He was top 3 in Masters 2. Until playoffs, he was number 1 (stat wise).

Sayf isn't something new, he isn't something that just popped up. He has been him for a while. He was just on Guild. Yeah guild was fine, but it was a 4v5 for most of 2022 and they had to deal with Koldamenta's SUPER SUPER slow calling, which doesn't help when you have 3 REALLY exceptional aggressive players (Leo, Sayf, Trexx). If Guild had a real IGL and a real 5th member, then they would have been a top team in EMEA or even the world. But instead they were a borderline 3 or 4 in EMEA.

I hope to God that it's 1 AM duo, 1 EU duo, and 1 Asia duo (then like a spread of desk casters)

Paper-thin and acileos (how tf do I spell his name) are very good. Pansy and hypoc are probably the best duo in EMEA (Tom and Mitchell are close tho). Then the British imported Bren and Egg are the goats, put then over any AM caster any day of the week.

In my opinion as someone with zero competitive experience: Flex Yay, Breed clear to become an even better duelist (at least for the first few games). Disguised was good in the first split, I don't they should change radically around Yay. Yes, Yay is at his best on an OP. Is that a good thing though? My opinion would be to go back to the exalt layout of agents, and sub in yay for drake. If it doesn't work, dang, lets just put Yay on Jett and constantly op. However, in this Meta (and likely most future meta's) the OP won't be as powerful, and it'll be good to widen Yay's ability while growing a great young player in clear. Clear can probably flex, he's already really flexible. I'd just like to see the team stay around him and be boosted by Yay, rather than Yay comes in and become the team's focus.

Lock in isn't a good tourney to literally represent the whole rest of the year. Give teams a single elim and then tell them that they can a whole extra representative at a major because of it. Does EMEA deserve it though? HAVE YOU WATCHED THE FUCKING EMEA GAMES? THEY 100% DESERVE IT. 8 teams can genuinely contend for a spot (except KC cause they are dogshit terrible and heretic is just worse than the other squads). In AM, at most 7 teams can contend, and that's giving mad respect to MIBR and a bit of respect to 100T not to just say 5. EMEA rightfully got that slot.

posted about a year ago

NRG and Loud had to face each other to REACH the final 4. (aka final 8)

Navi and Fnatic faced each other in the final 4. The logic doesn't make sense because your looking at the wrong part of the bracket.

posted about a year ago

There is a world where Sentinels wins. Give their week 1 team some polish and it's a contender. If NRG troll again then Sen should win, but if NRG actually play the game then it'll be close. Deph has called close and winning games vs FNS. FNS has called close and winning games against Deph. Now, it's an arguably weaker squad for FNS and an undeniably stronger squad for Deph. It should be close, but either team can win if the right player shows up.

posted about a year ago

Fut played pretty well. Vitality didn't give their best but they didn't look like shit either. I thought Fut was probably #5 in EMEA going into the leagues, so them beating Vitality ain't crazy. Still a solid win for them.

In my opinion, Initiator is the hardest role to succeed on. You set up your teammates. You can't lurk. You don't get a side that is based around your kit. For an Initator to do well, it has to be THEM popping off. An Initator doing good is rarer than a duelist or controller doing great.

posted about a year ago

I was gonna say this when the bracket came out. It's gonna be rough BUT they don't face furia so it's actually easier than other teams have it.

posted about a year ago

Did you see how Sentinels played? Were you at all impressed by 100T? If Sen fix their micro mistakes its a 13-5 on each map. If 100T fix their micro mistakes against the same Sen it's still a 13-10.

posted about a year ago

100T looked like a bunch of bots. Not "bots" but robots. They didn't do many things wrong, but they felt like they couldn't evolve. It took MANY, MANY mistakes by Sentinels for it to be close. I want to reiterate the MANY problems. it felt like Sen threw 1 of every 3 rounds. For Gods sake, Deph didn't buy a gun on the last round of Fracture. It's weird how 100T didn't do bad, but it felt like they'll never be better than this form. It's like they're just stuck a step behind the top tier in AM.

posted about a year ago

My goat

posted about a year ago

On split attack for Sen, they threw every second round. They should have SWEPT attack side.

posted about a year ago

There is none. When did 100T look better than Sen? The only time was Ascent first half. Sentinel's threw A LOT of rounds. 100T didn't throw many rounds. 100T didn't fuck up many rounds. 100T won more pistols. 100T won more of the swing rounds. 100T made less mistakes.

That was the most one sided 2 round differential each map series ever.

100T looked like a weaker team. It looked more like Sentinel's lost rounds instead of 100T winning rounds. Sentinels make 90% of the mistakes that game, and they still won.

Now 100T have a loss against one of the bubble teams (teams going for 3rd: Sentinels, Furia, Levi). Good luck 100T fans, you are going to need it. But honetly, I don't know if luck will even be able to help this team become truly competitive.

Even against like EDG, 100T looked worse each map. 100T is in a rough spot.

Pancada for Marved is braindead as fuck.

I believe in the funny approach of Zekken as IGL, plus it's genuinely more logical than Pancada for Marved. Sykko and Dephh have both said that Zekken is a future IGL in Valorant, what better roaster to try a new IGL than 4 former international Lan winners. I think if any bombshell thing happens, it'd be -dephh +Marved, put Zekken at IGL. It also works for this meta to do double controller with Viper and Harbor on Pearl and Icebox. It'd be fun.

Of course, none of this will happen. But if some roster shit DOES happen, I'd love to throw this out there and say "I told you so". But literally, sub 1% chance. If I'm wrong, just

blame Bo Dork.
