I still think Gambit was the best team of the year. Easily sweeping through the previous tourney, and if you look at stats for their match vs Acend, they had undeniably better statistics, kind of unlucky they lost. (not to discredit Acend tho)
On the contrary, I thought that the explanation of the round swaps was very logically explained and reasonable. Acend played 6 rounds where the exploit was used. Riot swapped all six rounds in favor of Acend (effectively 4 since Acend had won 2 of those rounds) plus 2 rounds for economic damage after losing 4 potentially winnable rounds (not even considering the economic loss of picks gone against Acend even in the 2 rounds they won due to map knowledge garnered by the illegal cam).
The final decision to do a rematch after Riot had ruled in favor of Acend was because of the huge uproar from the Brazilian community who were spamming things like #JusticeforVivoKeyd on Twitter and trying to play the victim card even though it was the Brazilian team using the exploits.
GG Kru <3
beat Sentinels
beat Fnatic
18-16 3rd map loss to Gambit
thanks for giving viewers such a great tourney <3
bruh really? do they really have that little left to do in life?
hellff mvp no questions asked
True, but I'll reiterate what I said earlier about the generally lower level of competition at Reykjavik. As time goes on, the level of competition, strats, and overall gameplay will be at a much higher level. As the first ever international tournament for the game with a considerably smaller amount of agents and maps, the results their will become less and less reflecting of reality in the future.
Still abiding to what I said. Kru has been playing phenomenally with incredible teamwork while Sen has been relying solely on individual skill with lack of creativity and depth in their strategies.
No. Invest into Qualcomm semiconductor stocks. 📈
then make a profit and buy even more skins >:)

Not exactly. Those 5 maps could be very favorable to one specific team's style and gameplay mentality and not to others. By adding a wider variety of maps that offer new and unique strategies, it can help new teams be potential challengers to the few proven teams which excel on that small map pool, provided their teamwork and style excels on new maps, thus raising the number of players/teams competing and increasing the overall competition level.
English is just the most widely accepted lingua franca cause of colonization and stuff like that but that doesn't stop me from knowing 4 languages fluently flex flex (Europeans probably know more tho lol)
nah more like a combination of both

honestly I was thinking of something like a rewards system, but 2 reasons why probably not at the moment:
1: Just asking for a nice touch like an easily accessible community voting option is probably way more appealing to devs than asking for a ton of things to come along with it. idk if it makes sense, but it might feel too overwhelming for devs if someone asks for some big elaborate feature and could result in less willingness to do it. Better to ask and pressure them slowly. >:)
2: This is only a quick way of seeing of how the community thinks about certain matches. Pickems are probably the far better alternative if you want to reward good predictions.
Guys guys, I did a quick edit of what I was thinking of here. Obviously it's not of the greatest quality, but just a rough idea bringing to life what I was thinking of.
ikr. I actually made this suggestion some time ago too here but at the bottom if you scroll down, Enigma actually put a little thinking face emoji (my hopes are probably too high rn... but still...)
area by cross sections and linear approximation and Euler's method sadge
uh no lol, just random number off the top of my head
Randomly doing my calc hw and out of nowhere had a sudden flash of utter brilliance :) so I naturally took the time to voice my constructive suggestions like a good Samaritan.
You guys should add a community voting option under every match. So for example, if you click on an upcoming match like TL vs C9 tomorrow, you can vote for the team you think will win and everyone else can see what the general community consensus is, like 68% for TL and 32% for C9 or something like that.
damn what an essay lol, but well said
kekw is that a Sen fanboy talking?
VS 2-1 :D
hopefully
or..... VK just didn't need to exploit something they were fully aware of and especially after other high-profile teams had been previously DQ'd for
That's nonsense. High profile teams have already been DQ'd because of this. There's no doubt that they were fully aware that this was an exploit not supposed to be taken advantage of.
It's not harsh at all. If anything VK should be celebrating that they're not automatically losing the map. Heck they should be ecstatic that they're not DQ'd at all and have a chance replay Acend.
Judging by your posts, you haven't been on here since the past 4 days. This is just over 24 hours but the biggest news is that VK defeated Acend 13-8 in the last map, but they used an exploitable Cypher cam location which others teams in previous tourneys have been punished for using. Of the 6 rounds where the cam was used, Acend lost 4 of those rounds according to Riot so they flipped all 6 rounds that the cam was used (effectively 4) so from a 13-8 to a 12-10 in favor of Acend plus one more round for economic damage from losing the potentially 4 winnable rounds. Lots of Brazilians are understandably pissed (not all tho). If you ask me, the logic and reasoning behind the round conversions are justified, but Riot should have definitely acted sooner rather than waiting 10 hours after the match was over.
a bit over 100 words but oh well
