Not in any particular order and you can for sure swap some

Aspas

Jawg seems the most proven right now. There are other players with better ratings but with fewer rounds and less important matches. My guy ran it on every map of the Bangkok GF sheesh

posted 3 months ago

My guys at G2 because nobody deserves the TH treatment. Ideally they beat T1 for redemption and a new Optic/LOUD rivalry.

I don’t know man. We still gotta get past EG. I’m not underestimating anyone any more God damn

posted 3 months ago

JonahP is in bad form rn but watch those Shanghai VODs and you’d think he’s better than Chronicle. Plus he tends to be an assist leader among flex players. Cut him some slack

posted 3 months ago

Lukewarm at best.

Split 1 has only proven that the gap is negligible between the top 3 teams now. It’s very plausible G2 are the best but it’s not by much.

posted 3 months ago

Seeding isn’t done. G2 could still be 1st seed by the end of playoffs.

posted 3 months ago

TGRD fan here! I’d argue that SEN has far more bandwagoners given you're all mostly casual viewers

posted 3 months ago

G2 are going to abuse you guys so hard to vent their frustration from this game. o7

posted 3 months ago

To be fair, TH fans were no different last year. It’s not team specific, just fans that are coping.

posted 3 months ago

Dude have some class. Every team loses eventually

posted 3 months ago

He’s saying that 100T and EG have no chance

posted 3 months ago

No team “deserves” anything. SEN were better today, it’s that simple. You can cry that maybe G2 are better the majority of day, but certainly not today.

posted 3 months ago

Kudos to the SEN players. Happy y’all look competitive.
God you fans are insufferable though — that comeback had you pissing your collective pants

posted 3 months ago

He had to use the restroom. That’s why he was whiffing

posted 3 months ago

After this showing from Jawg? no.

posted 3 months ago

this is such a good anti strat from SEN

posted 3 months ago

Best in class. Puts pressure on teams to not go for Fpx buys (3 rifles and 2 pistols) because they can get run over.

posted 3 months ago

He cooked so hard with the reposition and fumbled. Made up for it with the stinger force though

posted 3 months ago

That’s a good take. I think having the better movement is stronger when your role requires you to explosively take space though. It’s why Jawg makes every agent he play look like a duelist.

posted 3 months ago

I think G2 would still be fine after Tejo nerfs cuz Harbor buffs would be coming soon after.

Trent is a certified Odin abuser and will be fine on Sova/Fade/Gekko.

posted 3 months ago

I appreciate your level headed takes dude but I’m biased for my boys at G2 for a good reason. They’re just better

posted 3 months ago

I wanna see the return of Trent Raze man.

posted 3 months ago

Leaf and nats take the most calculated duels out of all active players rn.

posted 3 months ago

Jawgemo
Leo
Chronicle
Valyn
Chichoo

Chose Jawg cuz I can use him like a dog and have the rest of the team clean up while Aspas would never agree to ruin his stats like that.

posted 3 months ago

The record in VCT against G2 is 0-4 for Sen. Soon to be 0-5 and possibly even 0-6 if you guys reach the GF.

posted 3 months ago

0/6 on pistols will do that to you

posted 3 months ago

Pacific has the most A/B tier teams but no dominant standout. It’s great for the health of the region but it’s also the reason why you think they’re overrated.

posted 3 months ago

You’re conflating Sen fans with all NA fans. Sure the former rarely know ball but it was undeniable that G2 looked like heavy favorites across every region at Bangkok.

TH does look good right now but the other top teams initially regressed going into Split 1 due to roster changes. Contrast this to the Americas teams that are consistently improving by the week against a still dominant G2.

It’s hard to compare the relative strength between mid table teams across regions so it should be fun to see who ends up actually qualifying to Toronto.

posted 3 months ago

Because I specifically referred to JonahP. His individual form has been on a downward trend since Shanghai. If he starts trending back up and clutching like he used to, then G2 won’t look anywhere near as shaky. Keep in mind that he should be trading off his teammates based on his role but recently he’s dropping double digit negatives more often than going positive. Dude just isn’t converting duels like he used to.

posted 4 months ago

Trent is good for fragging as much on Raze and Viper as he is on Sova. At the same time, JonahP has a pretty decent Sova but he’s not really in form rn. You might not agree but it’s an interesting proposition to try Trent on Iso.

posted 4 months ago

You sure got me by meeting my well thought out response with an ad hominem

posted 4 months ago

Nothing insane about it. I think they cooked too hard on Haven and the Vyse is just weaker than Cypher for defensive defaults while the Yoru isn’t good enough as a solo entry. If they pick up the FNC comp with Leaf on Iso or go for a Neon/Cypher pairing then they’ll be fine.

Their Fracture definitely needs a stylistic approach change but the Waylay could work with more practice.

Edit: for Haven it might actually be better to have Leaf on Cypher and put Trent on Iso with JonahP on Sova. That way all your best aimers are on fragging roles.

5-0

posted 4 months ago

It’s true that G2 don’t look as dominant as they did before that Bangkok GF but they’re still 5-0 while shaky. If JonahP regains individual form and they clean up their pistols — most of their matches would look like that NRG one except against the other top 4 teams itw.

G2 absolutely have weaknesses on Fracture and Haven that they need to rework for sure though. I agree the gap is shrinking but they’re still a cut above right now.

posted 4 months ago

Why are you rating EDG so highly? They lost to regional competition in NOVA and XLG — they’re not even guaranteed to win against BLG to qualify.

T1 looks just as shaky too tbh. I could see them missing out if they get unlucky and get upset in the lowers after losing to DRX in Round 1.

I’d personally give MIBR a bit more credit since they’re looking like heavy favorites for America’s second seed.

The hopium for NRG and PRX is actually obscene though. Neither of these teams are surviving their knockout match.

posted 4 months ago

You can always find historic examples of teams pulling out niche Yorus alongside another duelist whether on Bind, Breeze, Pearl, Split, etc. G2 are the first team that are successfully running SOLO Yoru on the majority of maps though and it only works because their utility usage and surplus from Tejo + Flash Initiator is clinical.

Potter
Kaplan
JoshRT
fROd
mCe

Edit: just realized it’s NA and not Americas. Replace fROd with Sean Gares or Immi.

posted 4 months ago

But he’s not a pure flash initiator. He’s a flex support more similar to Chronicle and iZu — in that regard he's an S tier player no?

posted 4 months ago

Odd take. If G2 isn’t S tier, then nobody is right now. They’re the only top team from Bangkok that hasn't dramatically dropped in performance.

I’d also argue they’re looking a bit sloppy because JonahP is just not in form this split. Even so, I’d be surprised if they don’t comfortably make top 3 at Toronto.

Who do you rate above them internationally given current form right now?

posted 4 months ago

Jawg is a world champ and has made 3 international finals — being the MVP of 2 of them. Zekken has made 1. What are you waffling about?

posted 4 months ago

Yeah, they send him face first into a blender with a ton of supportive util but with the full expectation that he’ll die and they’ll trade him out. He’s only surviving so much because he’s on perma-Yoru.

posted 4 months ago

You’re right. I shouldn’t beat them when they’re down. I just saw the flair and couldn’t help myself.

G2 vs. MIBR

posted 4 months ago

In this one? Maybe this game will help remind you: G2 vs. NRG

posted 4 months ago

Why do you have either Aspas or Famouz over Jawgemo? Is it just cuz you can’t have too many G2 players in the list?

posted 4 months ago

Not at Toronto though

posted 4 months ago
