It's because it's the last match of the year for whoever loses, and there is a very high chance that roster moves will be made. It's arguably the most important match of their career for some of the players.

That is not bad, but the thing is FNS made only top 3 last year, whether or not you think it was deserved or not is up to you, but the fact is that his team was the most consistent last year. Boaster has a chance to beat that this year by only getting first and clean sweeping.
Maybe its misplaced but I have hope for 100T, they almost won but choked a 12-9 lead last time. Also, SEN Losing would be the funnier outcome.

Look at Loud fans, after Loud bombed out without even coming close to winning a map at Tokyo you have not seen any say anything. Same with DRX who had arguably their worst performance (not placement) ever. All their fans are quiet now and hoping they come back stronger. Be like them, more hope less cope. I hope that all 3 of these teams give very strong performances at champions.

True, when I said strongest I meant throughout the game's history since they have the most trophies. I said that only Fnatic is beating other teams internationally and that on average Americas is stronger rn, but anything could happen at champs. We shall see
It's mostly the fans, almost all the players are chill and likable. The fans are just so obnoxious that you just do not want to be associated with that team. It is not exclusive to NA, we all know how some EU fans are, but It's seen more in NA.
Big facts EMEA is proven to be the strongest region, but it is clear rn that FNC is the only team beating other regions, hopefully, champs is different. NA is the one that is on mad cope rn but it goes both ways.
From what I have seen NA is more toxic, that could be it, but it also could be because they just like the emea teams more.

the main problem I see is that it leads to a much longer off-season, also Champs is more brutal for lcq teams since they have less prep time.
Ascension for all 3 leagues is starting less than a week after masters and right after there is lcq and right after is champs. Do you guys think events should be spaced out more?

It's 1 bad tournament. They lost to 2 good teams. Remember what happened to Loud last year and how they won champs after coming in last at Denmark, and Env/optic at champs getting 12th. It happens they will maybe probably bounce back as they are still a very good team.
