Eggsterr was way too confident on stream yesterday.
Rankers 2-0 in dominant fashion.
It’s actually the opposite. Their puggy playstyle makes them harder to anti strat. It’s like playing against PRX
It’s worse when you have a 3 queue of Ascendants that bully the other two. Muting comms is a must in Ascendant.

SEN Cupert is not ready
The problem with groups is they are always imbalanced. You will usually have a really strong group (group of death) or a really weak group. Then the playoffs will potentially have teams that are weaker than teams that didn't make the playoffs.
Swiss is just better because every team is on equal footing. Also a lot of these NA Challenger teams are unknown which would make it hard to group them.
I like Swiss much better. There’s a chance to play any team which makes it more exciting

Rankers will not ascend because their players will most likely be poached even if they win.
N1ghtz was poached by SEN. Now it's looking like Canezerra is next up.
Rankers is just a group of ranked demons that wanted to see if they could compete in Tier 2.
No org in their right mind will invest in Eggsterr as a Yoru one trick, but Eggsterr has a large following as a content creator so he is bing chilling.
I still think Rankers will win it all, but it's quite unlikely they stay together for Franchising.

it's meta if it's Eggsterr. even pros can't play yoru like eggsterr.
i mean they already beat all of these Tier 2 teams already. The only teams they haven't faced are M80 and Cubert Academy, and Cubert can't ascend.
I will say they are a little weaker without N1ghtz, but ion3x is still insane.
all of them want to go pro, except for Eggsterr since he is THE Yoru guy.
YFP is about to lose to M80 right now, so they won't play unless Rankers loses a game.

Hello fellow thrower, I soft throw/troll because I get so bored of this game.
If it’s a very slow game with the enemy team hiding and my teammates being bad, then I’ll just force buy every round to run it down.
It’s funny because I like to see if one of my teammates will get mad and call me out. If no one says anything, then I will continue trolling/force buying.
If I have a team that really wants to win the game, then I will not troll as hard. I respect players that are passionate.
If I get a team of no commers, then I’m definitely trolling 😂
Btw I do this on my Alt account that is low Immortal/high Ascendant elo. I can troll these games and still maintain the MMR.

I’m Immortal. I’ll rarely hard throw, but I do turn off comms for about 50% of my games because of the following reasons:
1) No one is listening to my comms
2) We just blatantly threw a round and no one cared
3) My teammates seem hopeless
The only time I keep comms on is if my teammates seem good and care about man advantage, and are actively making good comms.

I’m technically good at the game (Immortal) and I still don’t enjoy it
Many NA Val players have either quit the game or moved onto Marvel Rivals. In NA, Val killed CSGO, and now after 5 years, the player base is moving onto other games.
Frankly, even though the game is more "balanced", the influx of new agents with ridiculous abilities (Iso shield, Neon shotgun, Tejo lol) is making me very bored of the game.
The Jett meta was still the most fun meta even though it was repetitive and OP
wait, so if they win Challengers, then they still don't ascend? aren't they taking away a spot from another Challengers team that can ascend?
why does SEN have an academy team in Challengers but not any other VCT team?
There are many Val streamers and players playing Marvel Rivals now
It makes sense because Val is basically a hero shooter, so there is carryover to Marvel Rivals.
In the beginning of Val, it was more similar to CSGO, so CS players could transition to Val
Now Val players will go to MR for a better hero shooter or to CS for a better tactical shooter.
Clove is like a 90% pick rate in Ranked
Give Omen and Brim one after-death smoke, and I bet Clove is still picked more than them.

I just have to rant because I have seen countless blunders in 1v1 situations as a defender, even in Immortal elo. Now that Clove is meta you will usually be able to use a smoke for the defuse.
The biggest blunder I see is when the defender tries to full-stick the spike in a 1v1. They defuse about 3/4 of the way, and then the attacker walks in the smoke and kills them. Had they gotten the defuse to half, and then simply gotten off it and played by the edge of the smoke, then they would have killed the attacker walking in.

The idea is the attacker always has to check a spike that's smoked because the defender could be full sticking the spike. A defender that assumes the attacker won't check the smoked spike is just leaving the round up to chance. The defender has an ENORMOUS advantage waiting inside the smoke for an attacker to walk in. They also have an advantage if the attacker begins shooting outside of the smoke since it reveals their position.
Ironically the only time you should ever full-stick the spike is when the spike isn't smoked and you have no info on the position of the attacker. You should full-stick because you are already at a big disadvantage. You should also full-stick when you have reasonable belief that the attacker is wrapping you. Gahh there are so many layers to the 1v1 post plant situation, especially because you can defuse the spike to half. I could probably write a novel on this!
Tejo is broken on Pearl. His molly on B halls and A main is so strong
He was on the most replaceable position, controller. Rankers will pick up the next cracked aimer and have him play Clove
There are three areas to smoke on Pearl A site: Art, Flower, and Dugout.
The vast majority of ranked players seem to smoke Art and Flower in my elo (Immortal)
I think it's much better to smoke Art and Dugout. What do you guys think?
It’s difficult to add new agents and not have the abilities change some fundamental aspect of the game.
These are abilities that completely redefined the game, more so Clove because she’s the agent with the highest win rate in Ranked.
I stopped considering Valorant to be a tactical shooter after Neon became overpowered for 6 months. Just have fun with the game. It was not meant to be as serious/competitive as CSGO.
Look at the crowds in each game. Valorant is much more random and casual which makes it fun for the casual viewer.

Clove effectively killed the other smoke agents in Ranked. The game is in its most balanced state but also the most boring state. I mainly miss seeing Omen and Brim in ranked
