I mean 109 is correct but also there aren't really any big german orgs close to the level of the orgs in t1, or at least the orgs in my proposed solution, and also the german fanbase is not as big/devoted to german teams as french/spanish fans are. Also through ascension german orgs could replace underperforming orgs from other countries, so its not like germany is completely excluded from possibly being part of t1

does kill a bit of tension and fun but it makes more sense than going to map diff, a team like th is really good on a very few maps but struggles on most of them, whereas some other teams are just decent on all maps (none come to mind at this insant)

Yeah that's kinda true, but at the same time each region would have less competition (12 teams -> 8), only 2 teams would be relegated, there would be more of an intensive for teams to at least be decent instead of floating to next year, and t2 looks more promising for orgs bc you don't have to literally keep making champs year after year to stay in t1, only be top 75% in your region. Plus, even if you do end up bottom 2, instead of getting relegated they would just have to play in ascension again
