Okay this thread https://www.vlr.gg/629778/can-you-guys/#16 got me remembering how crazy pre-collegiate schools are in New Mexico, like these are all things that happened and there are probably more I'm not remembering off the top of my head too. Also this is across a total of two schools(I moved after fifth grade)

1. I remember there was this girl I knew in 4th grade that started doing coke in 5th grade(This was while living in Albuquerque)
2. In middle school there were these two girls who were talking about eating edibles on their school emails and then got caught and were somehow surprised by it
3. On my first day of high school there was a fight in my ceramics class that ended up on the news(same guy who started it later threated to come shoot up my bus because his GF and him broke up for like the millionth time and he was angry)
4. Once a guy in my earth and space science hit a vape right in front of the teacher and then got sent to the office on the last day of school
5. I already talked about the drug dealer in the previous thread, but he had this friend named blake who also happened to live down the road from me who got into a fight with 2 girls and beat the shit out of them and then on the bus would make jokes about it.
6. For a high school of 1000 kids outside of Albuquerque there was a very high portion of nic/cart/drug fiends and what made it worse was there were like country "hicks" who were full trump supporters were often part of the fiends
7. Also, the N-word(hard r included) was used way to much by the hispanic and white people at my school, like they used it like they were black themselves
8. There was a guy named Tam who almost always smelled like he took a shower like once a week, but once he smelt so bad on the bus that the bus driver had to pull the bus over to make sure like an animal hadn't died or something wasn't wrong with the bus. That's to say the least one of the worst bus rides I've ever been on.
9. On the bright side my school did have one of the best choir, guitar, robotics, and agriculture programs in the entire state

Merge EMEA and China. EMEA has the coaches and China has the players, both regions are often dominated by russian players, and both regions desperately need a trophy for validation. Its like a match made in heaven.

Prize pool doesn't matter when the tournament has shit format and the teams are playing fatigued from Masters toronto, or with subs, or with new rosters, all while it happens in the middle of China and China has to schedule around the tourney. And this speaks for the competitiveness too.

Also the EWC final was not iconic in any way what so ever, I bet most people outside EMEA don't even remember the match happening, and I would also say that FNC getting 13-0'd at Soop was way more memorable than anything that happened at EWC apart from the tech pauses.

Competitiveness isn't a trophy now is it, it doesn't matter if you finish last or are the last to lose, its still doesn't change the fact that EMEA hasn't won anything meaningful since mid 2023, and its pretty embarrassing that EMEA has made that many GF and lost all of them except a mickey mouse one. Also if you're going to include EWC might as well include RBHG, SOOP, Radiant invitational and all those other offseason tourneys.

Well I can guarantee that you haven't played more dm than me considering its my most played game mode and I often spend 2.5+ hours spamming dm most sessions and on occasion even only play dm, and I see it happen very frequently like when its not a good map, or a few players rage quit, or when a premier team queues together and then just all leave at the same time for whatever reason. Its incredibly tilting when you have to exit a dm before it finishes and then have to wait 2 more minutes in a queue just for it to potentially happen again.

I wouldn't say its the teacher per se, he seems like a pretty cool guy and is pretty funny, its more that its a lecture hall with 600+ students in it and the content itself is boring. Like balancing, calculating moles, finding the percentage of an element in a compound and what not isnt all that interesting.

Why should I have to have a worse experience because a few people decide they didn't want to play for whatever reason, in turn causing half the lobby to leave? Like some people just want to have a quality dm rather than having half the lobby leave every other dm.

Currently you should only pick players in the swiss stage because the players on teams past the swiss stage already won't get points for the first week and then when playoffs starts you can swap some of those first seed players in. Also in the bottom left of the page there is a notices pop-up and usually that contains useful/important info.
