He's replacing veqaj

Crashies can play flex

I mean you were right about the player, but weren't right about who he's replacing

Sen fans are just pessimists currently, which sure is kind of annoying, but isn't nearly as bad as what they used to be and isn't nearly as bad as some of the fans of other Americas teams atm like NRG.

posted 1 month ago

Also I kind of feel like his ult is a little too cheap like maybe increase the ult to 7 orbs.

posted 1 month ago

Well first its because there's a game going on and then second there's a bit of a Chinese fan issue people are talking about

posted 1 month ago

TWT actually brings out the worst in people and actively rewards people for saying fucked up things while having basically 0 consequences. So I think its about time that shithole of a platform is nuked off this Earth.

posted 1 month ago

Well I mean the comp tends to be atk sided despite not having a duelist

posted 1 month ago

Hating on the org and players for something a loud minority of unhinged fans have said on twt is wrong. Like yes the fans said terrible things, but there is practically nothing EDG can do about what those fans say apart from maybe them or the players putting out a statement condemning the behavior, but that isn't going to stop the fans who were unhinged enough to say what they did.

Rarga hasn't felt the same since after Toronto tbh. Also, it kind of feels the same way jawgemo is right now where he's not selfish enough and plays for the team too much which limits his potential.

Its a little wrong, its:

PRX
China
EMEA
Americas
Pacific

posted 1 month ago

Chinese people tend to be a lot more patriotic than Indians and Valorant is significantly more popular in China than in India

posted 1 month ago

I mean its bound to happen eventually, it'll just be a good while before someone gets lucky enough.

posted 1 month ago

Its almost like the better team is going to be better

posted 1 month ago

I thought we were going to see the US team just pass it around for the rest of the time but respect for them going for it even at the end when they were guaranteed to win.

posted 1 month ago

That many yellow cards is pretty risky for Paraguay going forward no?

posted 1 month ago

Bang is a smoke spammer too

posted 1 month ago

Well from what I remember, there were rumors that TS management were going to bench Invy before the season and that's likely how PRX got such a low buyout.

posted 1 month ago

If you wanna talk about flukes you should be talking about 100T making Shanghai

posted 1 month ago

So not a fluke

posted 1 month ago

The South Korea Czechia game was better so far

posted 1 month ago

First Xeppaa retires and now JessieVash, next thing you know Asuna is going to retire.

posted 1 month ago

I didn't even talk shit about Lev but its been 2 rounds, you gotta wait until they win the map at least before you say this

Yinsu vs FNS 1v1

Well first of all getting 5 Russian players into a single country(except China) without Visa issues is pretty hard

You'd think a slop poster like you would know what's slop and what's not but apparently not.

USA (it'll be funny if they are shit)

What do you mean, we're always shit

posted 1 month ago

Actually I feel like people only hate WhzyGlazer, I have hardly ever actually seen hate for Whzy(might be because he's been pretty irrelevant recently)

posted 1 month ago

Since you lost everything might as well start from zero and rebuild the Aztec Empire

posted 1 month ago

As an American I hate that the broadcasts are just allowed to fill everything with commercials, like when I was watching the world cup I was expecting to finally have a sports broadcast with minimal commercial breaks and yet they still found a way to put more of them than any other world cup.

I made a bit of a mistake in the wording, I don't only have $50(I could probably go up to like $150 though I don't really want to), I currently have a $50 HE keyboard, but since its from a Chinese brand the software is a bit buggy and the quality is good for the price but isn't anything impressive.

posted 1 month ago

A team with 5 players with boaster level calling/iq/macro but the mechanical skills of happywei? Like would this team be too vocal or would the players clash with each other you think?

posted 1 month ago

Think I should get a keyboard? I currently have a like a $50 keyboard that's pretty good for the price but was wondering if I should get something more expensive.

posted 1 month ago

What a second half

posted 1 month ago

Just post it to bilibili or something

posted 1 month ago

You just want G2 in the finals so TH can face bigger chokers than them

posted 1 month ago

Don't forget DRG had more rounds against XLG than GE did and since XLG beat GE who almost beat LEV until they choked, who beat G2 and lost to G2 3-2 in the Grand Finals.
This means that DRG>NRG who lost to both Lev and G2

posted 1 month ago

I mean he got a team that had perennially been one of the worst in all of VCT to their first regional playoff appearance and their first international appearance which is a pretty big accomplishment. He's pretty much just a solid coach that isn't great and isn't terrible.

posted 1 month ago

I mean round wise DRG got 41 total rounds while FS only got 35 total rounds so round wise DRG was better.

  1. While we don't have exact current numbers, in 2024 China had around 1.8 million peak concurrent viewers over one year while the next closest region was Americas with around 800K. This TMV video shows a lot of the past numbers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvSOkQsYgj8(Though some of it is speculation)
posted 1 month ago

All the roles he plays are filled by players that DRX probably doesn't want to get rid of so why would DRX sign him?

posted 1 month ago

I mean the next global event is in China so surely at Champs he finally shows up.

posted 1 month ago
  1. Yes VCT is bigger in China than all of the regions you mentioned which is shown by the viewership and revenue China generates.
  2. That's not tier 2 anymore though, even leo faria himself has said this
  3. No it is not
posted 1 month ago
  1. It really won't grow lower though, China has showed continued growth in Valorant and is gaining a lot of popularity in China so its more likely that China will continue to grow and will benefit from not being forced to expand its demographic
  2. It would hurt riot's profits significantly if they China played internationally rather than in China
  3. Doable but would require a compromise and a lot of logistics that wouldn't be needed if China stayed separate
  4. There wont be tier 2 anymore with the 2027 format,
  5. Some playing offline while some playing online creates integrity issues and potential unfair circumstances.
  6. There is a difference between rivalry and fans sending death threats, harassing and being incredibly hostile to teams not from China, like the Chinese fans did the the GenG players in 2024 based off of a single thing the org said on twt not even the players.
posted 1 month ago

I mean the US women's national team has always been pretty good since they started investing in women's football before most other countries did and for a long time there just really wasn't much competition for them. This is not the case for the US men's national team though.

The problem with trying to expand China is that:

  1. Despite only being 30% of Asia's population they generate similar revenue to the other 70% if not more
  2. China's laws are much more restrictive than the other regions
  3. Scheduling could get complicated since China does much quicker and shorter scheduling
  4. Deciding where regional lan events would be complicated since all three countries have quite high attendance rates(especially China)
  5. If they were to to do something like take turns hosting lan events, then traveling would get complicated.
  6. China fans can be quite hostile(The 2024 Shanghai GenG incident)
posted 1 month ago

China accounts for 30% of all of Asia's population, and have some of the highest revenue in Valorant they definitely aren't too small. Also there are way too many logistical complications in China not being its own region.

posted 1 month ago

You can chalk it up to throwing all you want, but that's just an excuse that weak teams use.
