It's in Valorant Discussion so it clearly is about Val
I feel like valyn is a better fragger than nAts ever since nAts became IGL. In 2024 and on there were times that valyn completely took over games all by himself and I dont remember seeing that from nAts.
They should not pick Abyss, or at least stop playing Iso on the map
Anxiously awaiting the results bc I want to hear dimmed's thoughts
Kinda surprised that Abyss is so much lower than Icebox and Corrode so much lower than Pearl
57/81, my worst misses were
Xeppa (didnt realize unc had those numbers
And Pancada (just forgot about him)
I think it'd be PanPoc if Hypoc is able to case, otherwise Achillios and Paperthin
Where have all the Fire types gone (Cyndaquil btw)
This is a top 6 match bro, winner of this reaches top 4.
Magnum never played with Scream and Nivera on KC. He played the year after, when they went to Madrid.
Suygetsu 4k is crazy and that's a good shout, but I'm pretty sure that Crashies's ace on the ropes is already in the game with a sign by the ropes. Maybe it doesn't need a graffiti or something similar
When considering moments for each map, I would think of the question "if there was only one play that would get graffiti added into the game on this map, what would it be?"
Abyss - Zmjjkk Guardian 4k at Champs
Ascent - Ardiis 1 HP 1v3 OT Clutch
Bind - Enz0 sticks the spike
Breeze - Suygetsu aims, the reset
Corrode - Too new to have one yet
Fracture - Crashies rope ace (though this is already in the game)
Haven - ???
Icebox - Alfajer 1v2 spraydown
Lotus - ???
Pearl - ???
Split - f0rsaken 1v5 Ace clutch with a Judge
Sunset - ???
I was rooting for the NA team to make it through to champions. Instead, Ascent slipped through our fingers, denying a run into Champions.
I now await something, anything that can showcase how well 100T can play at an international level.
I feel like the Yoru-Fade comp is a unification of ideas that had been slowly been developing, namely PRX's early adoption of Yoru (as well as subsequent experimentation by other teams) and the adoption of Fade on many Bind comps. The PRX comp originally had no Viper (replacing her for Breach), but there are games (like Sen-100T from the 2023 LCQ) where they played double duelist with a solo initiator, but that initiator was Skye. I'm guessing that as Gekko's presence in the meta faded, it created a situation where Fade's info was desired, leaving both room and a desire for Yoru's flashes and teleport.
I think that Breach being dogshit is a bit of an exaggeration. The notion that Breach is bad comes mostly at the the pro level, where his flash can easily be turned and his stun activates slowly and being stunned isn't really that bad. When designing pro-level team comps, Breach's impact isn't felt as much.
But in ranked (especially in the lower level areas), you can get by with agents who are considered suboptimal in the pro meta. Think about the extreme prominence of agents like Reyna and Clove and it's pretty easy to see how an agent that is considered not great in pro play can be considered good or even dominant in ranked.
Of course, neither of these things make Breach top 3. He isn't top 3 and he isn't "dogshit;" in both ranked and pro play, Breach is probably just fine.
Nope, f0rsaken got the ace, and his IGL, Benkai, was on Sage
When the first ace was had in front of an audience, what agent was the IGL of the player who got the ace playing?
I'm sort of torn on this one. We obviously know how good Zekken and Cryo are now, but the rest of the roster (and the coaching staff as well) aren't exactly inspiring. Since then, AYRIN has played one year on GE (which was unproductive), BCJ got benched and is now grinding in tier 2, and and dephh played a split with 23 SEN. Even SykkoNT's time with SEN wasn't that good and after a split in tier 2, he isn't doing anything in Val atm.
TLDR; Zekken + Cryo are obviously gods, but the rest aren't what would make the team "obviously one of the best"
Got the helix phantom and oni knife
Rest were junk
I think that going with more than two sentinels in general is a weird proposition; you don't really need all that much passive info or stopping power. I think this is especially on Corrode; there are so many spots to play from on site that have 3 sentinels is excessive; 2 of them (Cypher + Deadlock) is fine if you want to gear your comp around making it difficult for your opponents to retake sites.
But by adding the third sentinel, you've dropped your initiator. This makes it difficult to extract maximum value out of the other playmaking utility (Yoru's flash and TP, Omen's flash) because you will lack proactive information. Yoru is also an agent that is strong at taking early aggression and then getting out safely, but he needs some initiating utility to aid him.
Unless SRB massively shit the bed this split, that probably isn't happening
I feel like you can't afford no flash on double controller: the map
You either have to replace one of the initiators with a flash initiator (maybe Breach?) or Raze with Yoru
This is assuming that you cannot drop Viper, which is something I personally agree with.
