Cant be 100% sure on dates, but Leosen seems to still be doing trials with other teams too

posted 4 months ago

amazing video
its just another rating system - and a duelist focused one this time round, so its not exactly useful for the initial goal of finding a definitive best player, but its really fun seeing the stats and having someone else explain what aspects they find to be the most important

posted 4 months ago

dont spoil the fun

posted 4 months ago

so EG is kicking SMGs pcs?!

posted 5 months ago

I dont think they'll be as dominant this time round, but I'm glad to see them aiming for ascension again
definitely contenders based on the rosters we know atm

posted 5 months ago

Most mid team of all time in t1 has to be guild
always t1, always contenders to win an event in EMEA, but only ever made it to 1 international

other teams id consider are Sen after they won, or the old G2 since first strike (always stacked af rosters but were never really able to do much with them)

posted 5 months ago

Really good if they actually end up with this roster
the early trial rumors were definitely painting a way worse future for DFM with no top Japanese players wanting to sign with them

Main question is if theres a structural problem that held back DFM last year (talent wise they shouldnt have been a 0-11 team) and if itll hurt this roster too

posted 5 months ago

mouz have yet to win one of the official DACH events...
the curse is real

posted 5 months ago

keep watching for 30 seconds

posted 5 months ago

we dont talk about the last round on haven

posted 5 months ago

A lot more one sided than I had hoped considering how much firepower both rosters have, but gosh dang having actual close games really makes me wish regular season was bo3s

imagine getting close series instead of draw number #5286

posted 5 months ago

Leosen self nading in the second to last round is just a perfect summary of how watching germany this event felt xD
This team is so stacked player wise but oml this was rough to watch

posted 5 months ago

luckily the general consensus doesnt matter since fan voting is only 10% of the final "vote", 90% is from a voting jury ("global media and influencer outlets")

posted 5 months ago

in the context of the competition at the time (and limited to EMEA)
Fpx and Guild 2021
and then yea without a doubt the Guild 2022 roster, that suygetsu round on ascent changed history and probably ended up robbing prx their first win

posted 5 months ago

wait thats actually huge wtf

posted 5 months ago

you need a better link for that, it says the channel name when hovering over it
cant even get surprised by what bait im getting this time

posted 5 months ago

check out https://www.vlr.gg/160667/vlr-gg-player-rating-explained
but yea, as mentioned above, in general the rating favors low deaths

its why leo has SUCH insane ratings despite a lot of his value being impossible to track with numbers - his playstyle fits perfectly into how the rating system works
Its great for comparing support players statistically, but I do find ACS being a better number for duelists since (as an example) even if they get traded, getting a kill during an entry is good value (which the rating system would then devalue compared to the support players cleaning up the second person on site and not getting traded)

posted 5 months ago

pretty sure the most expensive player this offseason in EMEA was sayf, since NA orgs were also trying to get him

posted 5 months ago

? I dont see me blaming vanity
if anything im explicitly praising him for doing an amazing job

posted 5 months ago

oh nah it was more to the "past" of the post above
oxg pays well so I think youre right

posted 5 months ago

surely oxg wont have a high buyout for any of their players, right?

posted 5 months ago

well if you wanna watch the game, youre currently seeing a vanity masterclass
and theres no way he didnt watch FL vs Fnc with those godlike reads

posted 5 months ago

Time for a first look at how starxo deals with mid-rounding when they dont have strats prepared/left

posted 5 months ago

Zescht is their coach, you cant expect them to win a clean 2-0

posted 6 months ago

scream is apparently working on a project outside of vct (from bodorks stream ~a week ago)

posted 6 months ago

go on date created, its still heavily negative

posted 6 months ago

thats just bs to justify the amount of hate he gets with that
go into the search bar and just compare the number of negative to the number of positive threads

posted 6 months ago

its an offseason tourney so teams from other vcl who fulfill the region rules also take part, so thats why youre seeing so many completely non spanish teams win their groups

And then spain is a health region, as such they have orgs that most of the time pay their players. Turns out players from other regions like getting paid and as such are more likely to swap region if theyre offered a spot.

The article just comes off as super whiny without even trying to establish any facts

Looking exclusively at valorant then no they're not doing anything special to try and get rid of br
In one of the (according article) favored regions, EMEA, t2 teams cant get signed at all and play as FA for years (or have to sign to orgs that dont even exist and as such dont get paid at the end of the day either... oh and the org that doesnt exist owns the slot in t2 too, so gl)

All thats happening is Franchising not working out how Orgs and (hopefully) riot envisioned it and as such the landscape is shifting to match the current reality. Yes it sucks, it really does, and as a Polaris fan Id want nothing more than for Riot to fix t2, but thats just not their goal atm and its affecting everyone and every region.

posted 6 months ago

Ye he had a rough phase, both the creep to minors + his racism thing (for which he was punished, so that shouldnt really be relevant for signing at least)

afaik he hasnt been involved in any bad "pr" for a while now though

posted 6 months ago

I like the roster if this is what they end on
Shadow is vocal & super experienced so he should be a huge help for starxo at the start, and his support util was amazing on apeks (pray breach becomes meta magically)
And Kamo was unreal during his time in dach and looked good during ascension, so I dont mind the pick up either

Roster shouldnt make it to an international event, but it also shouldnt end up at the very bottom again (well if Starxo develops into a decent igl, no clue how he'll do)

posted 6 months ago

we'll probably end up seeing him on a t2 teams next season
theres quite a few big(ish) orgs still building rosters

havent seen him in any of the scrim leaks either yet though which is a shame

posted 6 months ago

only problem is that you cant see shit in the endgame cause the remote play stream cant handle the 5 billion entities

posted 6 months ago

he was swapping back and forth with zeek because the team was such a mess

posted 6 months ago

Really disappointing series considering what Fokus showed during the initial match
and dang cned raze might actually work next year, thats was pretty good

posted 6 months ago

he was the star during his time on MOUZ, its just that the team disappointed in the important games
but yea his time with fokus is gonna be important for properly pinning down how good he is in different environments

posted 6 months ago

theres hardly any opportunities to play vs tier 1 nowerdays wdym? like even top tier 2 teams like focus only get to play them in proper games during the offseason

posted 6 months ago

Watch the g2 vs fut game, its a much better representation
theres still a big difference for sure, and g2 were still missing shots they'd never do in a offical (cough cned knife cough), but they were shooting back in that one
At the end of the day games like this are essential for GC to ever catch up - you have to be allowed to play the top tier teams in officials to try and reach their level (and hopefully teams like g2 will continue to take chances like this despite the backlash)

posted 6 months ago

the surrender button does work in customs tbf

posted 6 months ago

totally unbiased but that was a dang fun map to watch

posted 6 months ago

https://twitter.com/d3ffo111/status/1664209743215296512
ye he dropped from 255 acs to 166 acs after the month "break"
idk if its only ping to blame, but there was a huge difference

posted 6 months ago

he only started struggling after he had to leave china and play on ping, no? or was he allowed to come back at some point and I just missed that

posted 6 months ago

he was "famous" for his aim a year ago after trying to drag a TH roster through the open qualifiers to VCT https://www.vlr.gg/62751/team-heretics-vs-valar-morghulis-champions-tour-europe-stage-1-challengers-1-ro128
Then he joined MOUZ who always looked amazing, except when it came to games that actually mattered
Respected in DACH but no reason for anyone outside to know him since he hasnt been able to show off his talent yet

posted 6 months ago

theyre building a new team atm so it looks like theyre staying

posted 6 months ago

he did enjoy the idea of making one on nobody so theres hope

posted 6 months ago

He's an interesting player who I see doing well in t2
His playstyle doesnt feel like it would currently translate into t1 unless you have a prx-esque roster that thrives off of aggression. I dont think EMEA has any of those teams atm (and TH who picked up keloqz, who's also way too agressive for t1 imo, didnt find much success)

He has the mechanical skill to keep up with the top players, so as long as he finds a team with a coach to develop him for a longer period of time I do see him being a tier 1 prospect someday

posted 6 months ago

weeeeeell.... polaris is looking to be very top heavy this year again so idk if youre gonna get an answer soon

posted 6 months ago

? youre upset he's playing in an offseason tourney? thats a new one
here are his stats from playing in t2 leagues
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1778/valorant-challengers-2023-dach-arcade (offseason, but only t2 teams included)
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1552/challengers-league-dach-evolution-split-2
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1430/challengers-league-dach-evolution-split-1
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/1236/valorant-regional-league-dach-evolution-unity (offseason, but they only played 1 map against t3)
https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/987/valorant-regional-league-dach-evolution-stage-2 (first appearance in t2 and ended up getting benched mid season)

DACH for sure isnt the most competitive sub Region in EMEA but a DACH team was able to win "ascension" (at the time still promotion) so its not like youre talking about a throwaway region either
And yes the level is comparable (I wouldnt say better since its always super hard to compare cross regions due to playstyles) to the Japanese t2 scene

posted 6 months ago

The most likely reason he left the FA "V" team is because a t2 org approached him (otherwise no reason not to show off his talent during the offseason)
