Don't really forget, but I am severely sleep-deprived. I think South Asia would still be within the minor circuits towards LCQ.

posted about 3 years ago

Not yet. Do remember that EMEA has its own TO, APAC has 3 separate regions (JP, KR, SEA; not to mention SEA has 6 different TOs for each subregion), NA their own, LATAM their own. It'll be revealed on their own time.

Usually, it's reliant on teams to either supply/ask us with player pictures or vice versa. As for nagZ, we can easily edit that.

We play in one server and I think they should change that one rule.

You do know that each country has different servers to adhere to? While the infrastructure is capable enough for players to hop on from one server to another, let me tell you that jumping from SG to HK and vice versa is night and day. 30 to 60 ping is noticeable and that puts pressure onto the infrastructure, TOs, and orgs to consider their investments. A single regional Challengers for SEA won't work. A mixture of what I've said before added on top of the regional esports culture makes it difficult. Challengers SEA Finals is unique as it is for now.

No. You need to have at least 3 players from the home region your team is participating in. That's why PRX has 2 SG and 1 MY to meet the quota added on top of the 2 Indonesian players. Nigma Galaxy for example now has 3 Filipino players, 1 Vietnamese player, and 1 Singaporean player. Those are fine.

It's logical. SEA consists of 6 different national circuits. Indonesia, Thailand, MY/SG, HK/TW, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It's not to prevent any types of import or whatsoever, it's so that teams won't go crazy over importing them. It's been standard procedure with some of the regional TOs and what not. It's not sad, it's just the logistical limitations that allows for this format to flourish especially for SEA.

They posted a teaser during the Worlds broadcast:

It's always going to be murky waters with an all-online format, and the rules were there to hopefully mitigate this. Whether or not it's fair is for each of us to think, tbh. But personally, I do believe TEC is taking the fault. Whether or not PRX was complicit or not is another story, both are at fault one way or another.

posted about 3 years ago

Which like I said earlier, the TEC mods claim they are adhering to. In the Server Selection Article, it is not explicitly claimed which servers are mentioned (unless they just followed what was chosen during the LCQ,) only that the TO is responsible on finding the most equal-distanced server for both teams.

I definitely understand the anger from both fanbases and both the TEC and PRX are at fault, I just want yall to take a look at the official ruleset from the APAC LCQ which TEC mods claimed they are adhering to. It's not fully PRX's fault, nor is it TEC's, but the latter is suspicious.

7.6.2. Server Selection.

Prior to each Match, the Tournament Official will select the server which is as close to
equidistant from the teams as possible.

That's what I thought as well.

posted about 3 years ago

Both are at fault. Integrity is important, and to be at this point is a shame, but to put the wrong to one part only isn't the full truth.

posted about 3 years ago

Implied that it was one of the interests offered so the SG teams would participate, but I don't know (personally) the full extent of the truth or whether or not it's actually true.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean I did, it's just about the servers so I thought it was a given and not talking about anything else.

posted about 3 years ago

With the possibility of it being a Mumbai server match, I'm just hoping that they would not be screwed over monumentally. Kinda sorry if I sounded like an asshole, though. It's a concern, and I'm just hoping TEC would maintain fairness for both teams.

posted about 3 years ago

Never have I ever said nor imply that. And they're in Singapore, the heck you're saying about for logistics?

posted about 3 years ago

And hypothetically if TE were to participate in the LCQ, they would've gone the same. I'm not searching for excuses (heck what do I gain from it,) I'm just giving you a perspective that there'll be a mid-way solution one way or another. Whether or not it's advantageous or not for each side is another topic.

LCQ happened. What do you think the logistics was for that event?

Paper Rex didn't qualify for Champions. They'll be fine.

Just a local LAN

Actually the first-ever LAN was Vietnam in the early days of Valorant competition.

One of the oldest mix in European Valorant, HSDIRR was a notable name early.

I'm terribly sorry as it is late and it's not that I intentionally ignore them as I deal with my other activities; I fully intend to try to update every single one of them and by no means do I treat this as a 'small tournament', but I apologize if I appear to be negligent of my efforts to do so.

And you're a literal asshole for claiming so.

posted about 3 years ago

Never really was hot during the JP playoffs, but they were close. They've been touted as the 3rd or 4th best team after ZETA and CR, and I'm so happy they realized their potential!

posted about 3 years ago

It's not simply PRX throwing by themselves. Folks, it's the era of Korean Jett. May he rule with benevolence.

posted about 3 years ago

Yep. D4v41 was the 'gadget'-ish jett main for PRX and he shared the role with F0rsaken before Jingg. It's not strange to see him play jett occasionally.

Don't talk shit about the casters. They're trying their best. They're suffering as we are. They're trying their best to save the stream.

Not without an outrageous reason. He's an idiot, but not more about that.

Thanks for catching it! Fixed.

It's still a lot better than this.

Stage 3 was fine, wdym?

posted about 3 years ago

Not even a third party; SEA/APAC have been working with amazing companies so far. This is what happens when you outsource the work to an unproven third party who never done a Valorant event.

posted about 3 years ago

Hi everyone. Due to unforeseen circumstances, stats from this match won't be available for now. We are looking into the issue as of this moment.

posted about 3 years ago

https://twitter.com/EliphantLtd. As far as I am aware, they have only done FGC events and SG Icon Series (Wild Rift.) No prior Valorant experience unless I'm missing something.

posted about 3 years ago

This is why you don't outsource to a company that has never done Valorant prod before this late into the season.
