I mostly agree, but I wouldn't say korean valorant playstyle is overrated, more like its lacking. What they do is good but they don't play enough slow rounds and aren't very adaptive which makes it really easy to disrupt their gameplan. Their executes and strats are still really good.

Victor, Xeppa, and Zellsis are without a doubt the best kayos in na though

While I agree being good at raze is impressive, you can't say tenz, cned, and scream are bad just because they don't play raze well. It's merely a flexibility/one trick issue. But if these teams don't need them to play that agent then it's pointless for them to learn a very time consuming agent.

Ik, he played for dig, hes the definition of a ranked demon, can only play phoenix and reyna. I don't actually think he's a good pickup but watching his aim is just really satisfying.

Tbh all of these teams are pretty even. In my mind theres a gap between zeta, levi, nip, and every other team at the tourney. Those 3 are way less experienced and don't have the tactical prowess either. Of the rest of the teams prx is probably the least tactical but their individual skill is kinda insane and could possibly just beat out top teams making them a good upset team but probably not consistent.

Thats what im thinking, although pati is good, surf has actually been pretty impressive and I think fills the hole pati left

Gambit, Navi, and C9 have the best names imo

Probably because Europe has twice as many people, so twice as many medals, not really relevant since the Olympics isn't about region but country anyway

oh lol

W team, hopefully they can make a good run and give apac a bigger presence internationally.

posted about 2 years ago

Impossible, gutszeraa is a known kru supporter, trembolona would never

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah Michael Phelps just casually has more Gold medals than some countries

posted about 2 years ago

This is why NA was so toxic after Iceland last year because eu frogs are annoying af.

posted about 2 years ago

How many more people are gonna fail to figure this out

posted about 2 years ago

Probably the best format so far since it has both a group stage and a double elim bracket. Also seeding games matter now because they are in playoffs automatically

posted about 2 years ago

It's actually shocking to me how many can't seem to figure out that its loud or kru going to playoffs not lev or nip.

posted about 2 years ago

Lower bracket runs are always hype

posted about 2 years ago

Loud vs someone, I don't even care about Brazil or think Loud is much better than other teams, my gut just tells me they will be there.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean a lot of people are saying they might make the final or win but tbh it's actually not too far fetched, reality is that prx, loud and kru are basically on the same level

posted about 2 years ago

Pretty sure scrim blocking was a myth, regardless these teams aren't stupid enough to completely ignore the teams they were playing so I don't think it'll be much different this time around.

Ban should be obvious, this essentially has nothing to do with valorant and is in pretty poor taste

posted about 2 years ago

Agreed, it's not perfect, but it's the best they can do.

posted about 2 years ago

I kind of agree but from what I heard he's the igl which is much more important than fragging. His fragging isn't so weak that it's much of an issue. Firepower is definitely not Drx's issue, instead, it's Korea as whole being focused mostly on executes and not being as good at playing slow defaults and being adaptive.

posted about 2 years ago

Either that or Optic and TL are in the same group

posted about 2 years ago

If these are the groups I think DRX, FNC, Loud/Kru, and TL make it out, maybe Xerxia can pull off another upset idk

posted about 2 years ago

I think it's a bit of an issue just because those teams are some of the most popular in their respective regions (Loud, Prx, The Guard, G2), and by putting them in playoffs it cuts down on the number of games you see them play. It's fine in terms of just making a fair competitive bracket. It's more of just an issue from a spectator's pov.

posted about 2 years ago

Tbh I think the most important thing is the fact that these teams will scrim each other and that's going to lead to teams seeing a lot of development which should transfer to the region as well. Good examples are like Sea only managing to beat Japan to almost beating Smb and x10 beating envy.

Biggest issue is that if you look at Iceland last year and it was just single elim finals would have just been Nuturn vs Sen, but double elim made it so that fnc came back as well, the point is so that you have the 2 best teams in the finals. I recommend reading this for a better idea https://www.vlr.gg/79207/the-power-of-double-elimination

Fair, but realistically this forum is just SA fans saying SA is better, and APAC fans saying APAC is better

posted about 2 years ago

Let's just collectively hope that Lev wins

posted about 2 years ago

That's what I'm saying lol, I looked it up to see if it was a word

posted about 2 years ago

Hard agree, only issue is we might not see the playoff seeded teams play as much

posted about 2 years ago

Whats the problem with double elim?

posted about 2 years ago

I think one of the things you have to consider though is the meta change, changing the game can lead to less consistency and teams getting upset. I think the region as a whole hasn't really adapted as much to the meta as other regions and that's why I think you could say the region is weaker.

posted about 2 years ago

Wdym?

posted about 2 years ago

Yes, also double elim is good for seeing more matchups that we otherwise wouldn't get which to me is the most important thing for these international tournaments.

posted about 2 years ago

Personally I think Xerxia<kru<prx=Loud

posted about 2 years ago

Aside from Loud and Kru South America is undoubtedly weaker

posted about 2 years ago

They weren't just seeding games, those top seeds literally get an extra 75 points by automatically qualifying for playoffs.

posted about 2 years ago

I hope Levi wins so we can see how good Loud is by making them play in groups. I feel like if they get playoffs things could go wrong for them really easily.

posted about 2 years ago

Little bit of hopium but there is chance for Loud to do really well.

posted about 2 years ago

Only G2 or Sen vs Loud would get that level of viewership.

posted about 2 years ago

If nip wins then loud will be in playoffs already, if levi wins then kru will be in playoffs, nip or levi will be in groups no matter what, the idea is that there will be 2 teams from one region and so the top seed of the 2 gets playoffs, kinda weird.

posted about 2 years ago

I like double elim, not sure if top seeds being put into playoffs is good or bad though.

posted about 2 years ago

wdym? I'm just saying people want to see how good the minor regions are compared to na and eu now because they look much better than they did last year

posted about 2 years ago

I think it depends on both frags and talking a lot. Just talking will give you stars but you can also be like Tremblona and talk nonstop and get 50+ down frags every post and never get stars.

posted about 2 years ago

Main thing is that I think people wanna see how good loud and asian teams are vs na and emea.

posted about 2 years ago

Not really lol
