Hear me out, right now many orgs are hesitant to join T2 because there aren't enough incentives. It is absurd that teams play the whole year just for the top 1 (2 for a few regions) to qualify for a tournament where they MIGHT ascend. I think a T2 champions event would be really cool, idk what the T2 schedule is this year (ik they made a bunch of changes), but if it could be a few months before or after ascension, have a decent prizepool, and have some sort of inter-region tournament as a qualifier (ie a mini ascension), i think it would generate a lot of hype for T2 and convince more orgs to invest. If money is an issue (which for riot it shouldn't be, but whatever), then maybe there can be an event similar to the old rift rivals in league of legends where there's EMEA vs Americas and separately China vs Pacific. Curious what yalls thoughts are
