EMEA: Solid overall but messed up that 3 Spanish, 2 French, and 2 Turkish teams got in yet no DACH teams
Americas: OPTIC done dirty, LATAM and BR slots are good, and EG are a boring brand to represent NA
APAC: OCE 💀

RIP DACH, OCE, G2, OPTIC, TSM, CR, and DK
DetonatioN Gaming are a massive org and are by far the most successful LJL team
Fennel was expected but CR not getting in is fucked. Losing TSM, G2, and now CR is a massive L for viewership
I agree with everything except I think Istanbul was a better tournament than Copenhagen - also OPTIC vs DRX or DRX vs FPX are definitely contenders for best match in my opinion
There is also no guarantee that the LCK orgs will only sign Korean players, especially with at least one being rumored to be interested in investing in Japan, yet everyone is coming to the conclusion that they will only sign Korean players. I’d also like to see XIA or BOOM get signed but I feel like you guys are antagonizing these LCK orgs a little too much by constantly expecting the worst.
5 Korean orgs does not mean 5 Korean rosters. How many times does this have to be said. It would be better to have ID or JP orgs represent their own rosters, but Korean orgs will be able to give financial stability to the league and already have proper facilities in Seoul. There are still upsides to this situation.
T1 are going to make it no matter what, if they didn't make it into the Americas league, expect to see them in KR

Seems like most the slots are Ws except for Giants
ummm.... idk what the owner and coach said but they are def not a top 5 org in Korea.
DK, DRX, Gen.G, T1, KT Rolster, and Freecs are all larger orgs with greater history than GE
Sentinels could be the best team in the world
if they were disciplined
they're a superteam with the best players from 2 different countries
they just lack discipline. But the players are INSANE.
DRX is the best FPS in Asia though ;-;
Just a reminder that T1 weren’t rumored to be involved in APAC, so I think there’s a high chance they make it into the Americas league
One league isn’t big enough for NA tbh, I think Riot should give them 5 slots in EMEA and Asia too
i think the BLD tweet was pointing towards a partnership with PRX
Talon are going to have a team with 3 HK/TW and 2 CN players, calling it now
One of the 5 NA slots is going to go to a KR team lol
How many times does it have to be said that it’s orgs not rosters. Not every Korean org will field a Korean roster. As well, this list isn’t even confirmed yet and probably won’t be the final list.
People still forgetting that it’s orgs not rosters making it :|
Imagine the toxicity of a KCorp vs SEN or KCorp vs Loud match lol
I think the high amount of KR teams in 100% confirmed now since multiple sources have pointed to it but there’s just no world where JP get 1 slot like you said
agreed, all of the BLD staff just post nonsense on twitter and act like it's confirmed
5x KR teams 💀
I wanted 2-3 with 4 at the very max if T1 transferred, but 5 and no T1? I'm biased towards KR teams obviously, but even I can admit that NS and LSB don't deserve slots over an org like CR, let's see if Riot really go through with something like this.
EA > APAC
DRX > PRX
EDG > NTH > XIA
ZETA > BOOM
Prove it. ONS were able to beat the same NTH who were on par with XIA. As well, PRX have lost the same amount of domestic matchups as DRX, which is only 1, so they’re clearly just as far ahead of their region as well.
mika was actually farming on Cypher/KJ though, he's about to be the next Less hopium
IGL/Flex: Redgar
Chamber: yay
Initiator: Shao
Controller: Pancada
Duelist: TenZ
Coach: Nbs
WE'RE WINNING SAO PAULO BABY
He kind of looks part Brazilian to me. I wouldn't have been able to tell until it was pointed out to me but now that I know, I can def see it. He's like Fisker in that sense where i don't see it immediatly.
I doubt he ends up playing in São Paulo since he's only a trainee but I think it would be pretty cool to see him play in front of the crowd. I would imagine him getting a lot of cheers from the fans
NA: yay
EU: Ardiis
LATAM: kiNgg
BR: Less
APAC: Jinggg
KR: MaKo
JP: Laz
CN: ZmjjKK
I don't know who he would replace in the top ten, I would def put him in the HMs now though, I kind of just forgot about him
here's my list, it's not in order cause I'm too lazy to rank them:
yay (OPTIC)
Less (LOUD)
Pancada (LOUD)
kiNgg (LEV)
ardiis (FPX)
Derke (FNC)
Alfajer (FNC)
MaKo (DRX)
BuZz (DRX)
Cryocells (XSET)
HM: Aspas, Marved, Suygetsu, Jinggg, Laz
I knew that the Loud matches would do numbers but I'm honestly still surprised that DRX vs OPTIC surpassed 1M
Why is everyone including APAC but not KR/JP :(
tbf if i was FNS i would have smashed something after watching my team throw the round
if drx were able to take Ascent from Optic, so should Loud in theory
EDG > DRX/ZETA existed before the event
I might make one including all tournaments though
even though DRX lost today, man it felt good to watch them fuck FPX twice
are definitely up there for one of the best pickups of all time
automatically made playoffs since they got the first seed
Top 10
Other Teams
(*) = Subject to change
+20 = If the team did not attend the event
List is based off of placements in tournaments. I'm aware that it isn't 100% accurate since Champions should be weighted heavier, but it's the most objective way to rank teams imo.
I mean if you add up the finishes you get:
(*) = subject to change
why would you make a top teams of each year list without including the most important event of the year? Speaking of which, where is Acend?
