Berlin isn't ready for Peter
I'm telling you, he has been the protagonist all along and will prove it on LAN

Teams that made Challengers playoffs (yes, even TSM) are tier 1 teams for sure
As well, I'd say that C9, Gen.G, T1, and V1 are also tier 1 teams, depending upon how they perform in the LCQ

I was scrolling through youtube this morning and I got one of those stupid polls from those Valorant clip channels that try to crack the algorithm
Anyway, the poll was "Who do you think is the best awper in NA" with Wardell, Shahzam, Babybay, yay, and TenZ being the choices

To my surprise, TenZ won the poll, beating both Wardell and ShahZam by 15% each

He's got one of the best marshals in NA, but seeing people genuinely think he is the best awper made me lose all hope in this community

btw, I have a problem with his fans, not himself

I don't care if F4Q don't win a map in their group, they will be by far the most enjoyable team to watch for me
Bunny has undoubtedly the best movement out of any player there

That would give analysts a nightmare, lmao

Would you rather see an NA or EMEA team win Berlin or an underdog region like BR/KR/JP?

posted about 3 years ago

Idk, I feel like NA/SA overhype them while EU doubts them

BR is actually one of the regions that knows how good VS without overhyping them, prolly cause BR/KR are kinda in the same boat rn

It's crazy that Korea are even competitive with such a small playerbase O-O

posted about 3 years ago

Doubt it, if he didn't still have a competitive spirit, he would have stayed as a content creator for C9
It's clear that he has an urge to compete and I doubt he'd retire at such a young age

NA - Cloud9
EMEA - G2
BR - Vikings
KR - Damwon
SEA - BOOM
JP - Northeption
LATAM - KRU
OCE - Wildcard

Dm this to Netero, please and thank u

posted about 3 years ago

I remember u saying something about Havan Liberty scrimming both male and female teams which is definitely promising

Out of all the female teams, Gamelanders Purple really impressed me

posted about 3 years ago

Hopefully, wishing Skrossi the best
Definitely will be watching his matches in the APAC LCQ

posted about 3 years ago

I agree with BR + LAS but I just can't imagine NA + LAN

LAN is just too far behind NA that adding them to the region would just lead to the scene disappearing instead of growing

posted about 3 years ago

I could definitely imagine a female superteam
Not sure about Alter Ego celeste, but C9W and Gamelanders Purple definitely have some extremely talented players

posted about 3 years ago

Btw, I 100% support gamechangers and think it's necessary for the growth of the scene early on, but I have to ask the question: At what point will female teams become competitive with top male teams?

1-2 years?
3-5 years?
5-10 years?
Will the two scenes always be separated?

Even though all female tournaments are good for the scene right now, I think it could, ironically enough, actually make it take longer for the scene to develop because these teams will not be exposing themselves to actual T1 teams

If viewership mattered, TR would have 2 direct slots to Berlin
It's clear that Riot are not focusing on that this year

posted about 3 years ago

First, viewership isn't everything.
Second India is still far behind in building the proper infrastructure that KR and SEA already have, due to competing in other Riot events.
Third, skill wise, India is probably the furthest behind the two.
Fourth, China, similar to KR, is already a major region for Riot and does not take as long to develop and SA.
Fifth, chill man, Riot are doing their best and not everything will be perfect the first year (shown by Berlin seeding). I remember all the people being grateful that SA even got a LCQ slot. Where are all of those people now?

If it were up to me, I would have given SA a SEA or CN slot but sadly it isn't. At least be thankful that Riot gave SA a chance

t3xture

patiphan
reita
skrossi

Skrossi is unproven so it'd be unfair to rank him higher then someone

posted about 3 years ago

People are mad underrating t3xture, he is probably the best Jett currently competing in KR

posted about 3 years ago

In an alternate reality, UwU did not have to play with a substitute and; therefore, made it out of the SEA playoffs as the second seed behind Bren
This means that Group A could've been even more stacked and would have been:

UwU
VS
ACE
SMB

I can only imagine how legendary those games would have been

posted about 3 years ago

Should be a 2-0 for Vision Strikers
As a VS fan, we are lucky that UwU didn't make it or this would be an entirely different story

Aleksander really wanted that win

Fun fact: In the last map, only one round was won on attack between both teams

Split is such a joke

GL to BR, they have a very high chance to make it out of the group stage (100% chance if heat cosplays as Jett)

posted about 3 years ago

Giving F4Q an easier bracket then VS is just bad on Riot's part
Even JP's #1 seed (potentially the worst region) got better seeding then KR :/

posted about 3 years ago

I'll always be supporting them, even if they flop in Berlin

But SMB and ACE are both contenders for the grand final and it will be extremely tough for VS

Even Paper Rex could be a challenge since they do scrim VS a lot

posted about 3 years ago

No hate to BR, I know it was random seeding but...
How can I pay off Riot to give KR as good of seeding as BR?

In Iceland, both Brazilian teams got a free bye to the quarterfinals instead of #1 seeded teams from other regions while in Berlin the #1 BR team only has to beat a LATAM/JP team while the #1 KR team has to beat an EMEA team that isn't even G2

Sadge, guess VS will have to take their chances in the LCQ instead...

posted about 3 years ago

ikr, sadge
I think it's pretty sad that the best KR team has to beat at least 1 EMEA team (not even G2) just to qualify for playoffs while the best BR team just has to beat a JP/LATAM team

I get that the seeding was done randomly once again, but it does seem like BR was rather fortunate again in how Riot seeded the groups

posted about 3 years ago

Even though it does suck that Riot fucked up the seeding for Groups A and B, atleast we get to see 4 insane Jetts duke it out all in one group

f0rsakeN
cNed
Izzy
BuZz

All of them are contenders to be top 5 players of the whole tournament

posted about 3 years ago

I think they might have a rough time in Berlin/Champions but once they are able to form a superteam, they will be a real contender, just like CSGO

posted about 3 years ago

based
this thread was pretty much made to say that regions should be rated off of quality and quantity
a region is not only as good as their best team

Wish Soniqs had competed in the NSG summer champs, would have loved to see a bo5 between SQ and C9

Glad to see them back tho

posted about 3 years ago

Dicey for sure, but idk why people think ban was good
He consistently bottom fragged on Jett/Sage and wasn't very good at his entry role (it terms of fk/fd)

It sucks to see young talent benched but I think it was the right move

posted about 3 years ago

Imo KR/BR are like a tier 1.5 region and should be ranked equally behind EMEA/NA

KR has a few T1 teams, but very little competition
BR is the opposite, having a lot of competition, but very little (if any) good international teams

Thoughts?

posted about 3 years ago

True, for ranked the language barrier would be difficult, but I was thinking of it from more of a comp standpoint
I was imagining it as a LATAM situation, with two minor region, LAN and LAS, coming together to play for slot/s in majors

KR and JP don't, and shouldn't, share the same ranked servers

posted about 3 years ago

Facts
I'm confident that Riot will make major events (atleast champions) 24 teams in next year's circuit

posted about 3 years ago

I know it's the only data we really have, but at this point, a lot of it is as useless as scrim results

Most regions were pretty poorly represented in Iceland (due to the limited slots + bad formats) and I think the regions that flopped in iceland deserve a second chance to prove themselves

posted about 3 years ago

Wrote the title with this in mind, lmao

posted about 3 years ago

Just wondering why so many ppl are trying to compare Iceland results to now, cause it's a dumb af argument

I mean, using the same logic: if so many people say SEN are a Fnatic level team, does that mean Liquid are below a V1 level team?

Every region got better and Berlin will truly show us how the regions stack up, stop using Iceland results to predict Berlin

posted about 3 years ago

It's not a language barrier, ping issue, or the history between the two countries
My guess would be Riot are trying to market Valorant in JP while not having Korea, a major region for Riot already (shown by lol), discourage the scene from developing

It's clear Riot are trying to grow the Asian Valorant scene this year by giving them 5 slots at Champs (too many imo) along with trying to add newer regions to the VCT such as SA and CN, so I think my assumption is fair
