Good luck tough journey you have chosen. Get ready for sleepless nights and give up valorant. (from someone who cleared JEE Adv in 2019)

Just take the hits like a tank.

That being said if living alone, limit street food to twice a week.

I think X10 were just nervous in the first game.

They rekt CR in the next game.

Lost to fnatic which was also the second-best team in the tournament.

I would blame the seeding. Bad luck.

PRX is also stuck in bad seeding, unfortunately.

Korea is hyped because apart from CS they were pretty much all over the esports scene alongside EU.

Korea was not good in CS because their cafes don't have that game installed and to play that you need to put in the extra effort.

They are literal gods in pretty much any other game they touch.

Damn

That is exactly what I am saying. Just let them play. We will see the results.

If I hype them up saying they are the best, I would be in the wrong and if someone says they gonna get rekt, they are wrong as well.
After we have seen the results can we really say what is gonna happen.

posted about 2 years ago

LMAO you really dug deep for this one.

I am not convincing anyone, It's just that people rate teams even before they have had a chance to play.

This is Paper Rex's first stint internationally and people assumed that they are one of the worst teams here. They lost 2-0 but at least they showed that they deserve to be here.

Same for India. It's not an Indian team's fault for not going international before this. There are tournaments every week and at least a dozen proper teams in India. Judging from the population on this website and viewership breakdown in general, India is also one of the biggest regions, It's just Riot who wants to suck up to China instead of fairly distributing slots.

I will repeat, I am not convincing anyone when I say this because I know Indian teams have done it before. An Indian team went against prime time NIP (your flair, you must know it) in the 2014 CS major and faced a respectable loss. Losing like that to the best team in the world with no international experience is very good for a first attempt and that was back when no one even gave a shit about esports. Given how NIP went to beat other teams without any competition suggests that Indian teams could have done better than a lot of the teams there. They just had bad seeding going against NIP in a Bo1 in the first round itself.

Ohh and did I mention PRX is SEA no.2 seed and also, the best teams in SEA are not even playing here because Patiphan is injured and Bren could not make it? Indian teams scrim PRX Bren and X10 regularly beating them a few times as well. Well, I agree that's scrimbux, and yes they don't matter much also, most probably not gonna happen in a tournament, but this is just to let you know there will not be a day-night difference between the two.

I don't think it is correct to overhype or underhyped any region if they haven't even been given a chance yet. That being said think what you want.

That is exactly what my post says.

forsaken. SkRossi is 80% of forsaken for what we have seen.

Going head to head on SEA servers in pugs, they both top frag.

posted about 2 years ago

People calling Korea overrated hard because they went close with Paper Rex on Haven but you forgot that Paper Rex is not a bad team either.

Just because you don't follow a region, it does not mean its bad. Its scary to play against forsaken. Deal with it.

IMO Paper Rex is underrated.

Edit: People calling forsaken a farmer in t3 region but you gotta admit on a good day he can rekt top 5 jetts in the world no doubt.

posted about 2 years ago

You will see the same in APAC LCQ what you are seeing right now.

SkRossi will pull off some crazy rounds and shots. Will still lose to some other team from KR or SEA in the end tho.

As a player, I would say he is established like you see forsaken is right now. As a team, a long way to go.

Forsaken is better jett no doubt. Patiphan is a good player but his team X10 is better than Paper Rex overall.

1) Riot does not give India slots. They are doing well with what they get. 1 slot in APAC LCQ is enough to prove that they are decent in Asia

2) Riot gives 2 slots to Brazil. They have done jack shit with those slots. Its fine though take your time. All Regions are trying their best.

3) But we don't send death threats to people when we lose and act like fucking crybabies and then literally come to a forum the next day and act like we are the best region.

4) Don't act like actual dogshits on forums in general (except those few rotten apples, will find them everywhere)/

5) People hype SkRossi and spam his name, spamming is not appreciable but at least harmless as compared to death threats and 0 iq arguments. Hyping Rossi is just people showing support for him.

Finally, but not least, this thread is in your region. Defend your own region. My post has nothing to do with India. Trying to target India does not make your region any better.

A BTS stream team just gave an EMEA team a run for its money. Very close game.

Nuturn was one of the best teams last event.

Vision Strikers is yet to game.

Brazil did not even take a single map close against Korea, NA or EMEA in both the events so far.

I have played on Bahrain and Istanbul. Yes, Istanbul is cracked AF.

Those guys don't need vandals just Sherrif headshots.

or maybe it's the ping difference. I get 40ms in Bahrain and 80 in Istanbul. I also get 90ms on Singapore and 50ms on Mumbai so its kinda the same thing.

I like how people don't even know what the third world means.

It has nothing to do with economic or social status.
It just means that these countries were not aligned with the USA or USSR.

Just say if a country is poor or rich.

At least Indians can have decent education to know the difference between such definitions that does not concern them. Learn some history before making such comments.

I think I am being extremely optimistic saying GE will get the #4 spot in LCQ.

But whatever, if SKRossi pops off anything can happen. This guy just dominated a hong kong lobby with 100 ping in his streams.

posted about 2 years ago

There won't be top SEA teams in APAC LCQ. It literally says LCQ in the same.

#3rd #4th and #5th will be relatively much easier.

Moreover, just try to remember Japan's performance in Iceland. Even RN they are not much better.

And yes the expectation is not to do well in the tournament but to get a spot near #4 or #5. Doable imo if they play well.

Strange coming from someone with a TSM flair.

GE has a playstyle so similar to TSM that you may as well call them the same team.

Each player is just there to set up SKRossi to frag out. They break drone, darts and dogs counter flash for flashes and just about anything a team does to remove an OPer or an aggressive duelist.

That is why he is so hard to beat as an OPer. Other teams don't try half as much and thus their jetts and other duelist don't frag out half as much.

This whole playstyle makes SKRossi frag out in nearly all games he plays. He is top fragging in 9/10 games. I think this is high enough rates to do ok in LCQ.

Moreover, I am not expecting them to win anyway. All they have to do is -

1) Beat Chinese teams
2) Beat Japanese teams
3) Beat 2 of the 3 SEA teams

to prove that they are a half-decent team and worthy of more slots in the future, and it's totally doable with SKRossi popping off 9/10 times.

Also, it's not as if other players have never stepped up. You will see hellranger lightningfast and skillz getting 2v4s and 1v2s in a lot of rounds and anchoring sites on their own.
I am not expecting this to happen again and again though. But if by any luck if this happens against the top SEA team or Korean teams, they will not get smoked and walk away with a respectable loss or maybe even a win.

Average plat chat defender.

posted about 2 years ago

If you cannot add anything over - SEN will beat a team like KRU, I don't think you are doing a lot.

And yes good analysts can predict upsets if you know about the teams well. Even during Iceland, the analyst from Korea held his ground when so many people thought V1 was gonna win over them.

That being said, I do watch plat chat, but I don't think they are the 5 head geniuses everyone seems to believe they are.

Fans using a flair really does not give any "flair buff" to a team playing IRL.
If vlr.gg was involved in that sort of dark arts maybe they should add an option for 10 flairs.

It's just "This is my favorite team" tag that you carry on your profile. Multiple would just be too much.
Also if you add 2 why not 3, why not 10? People will make this a point of argument as well.

I can confirm that SEA immortal + lobbies are better than Mumbai lobbies.

But anything below that, Mumbai is just way tougher. I split my time between the two. People do not use mics in SEA and if they do they are speaking their native language which anyone else does not understand. They lose eco rounds by pushing to shotguns in platinum lobbies. Just so many fundamental mistakes.
I sometimes wonder what exactly is going through their minds at that point. Ofc I do not say anything to be toxic, I realize that the opponents are equally bad.
Compared to Mumbai where people at least don't lose eco rounds and know when to buy and save at least on gold elo or higher.
Same is true with EMEA servers, my friend offered me an EMEA account and there are EMEA servers close by so I can play there.
Never got above low plat in my Mumbai account but I opened plat-2 on the EMEA one. I am sure I can climb to plat-3 or even diamond 1 easily. Its just so easy to win there since people are not smoking entrances, using sova util despite these agents being on their team. If you know how to punish this style of game with util, you are in for an easy win.
That being said if an immortal player does pop into the server, it is just pain. They are too good compared to SEA or Mumbai.
