no. just. no. there are two main reasons in my mind why they wouldn't merge them.

1) JP viewership is high af. If you merge them with KR. Then Rito are losing a ton of money
2) KR hates JP. So uhh. A lot of pros will be very mad. And they 99% likely won't like it.
3(minor reason)) JP orgs are investing heavily into this game and they most likely will invest much much less if the challengers and regions are combined.

You can see this from Seoldam. Also many players who get dropped. Immediately move to Japan. Probably because it's easier to find a team and Japan doesn't have that much hate against Koreans. But a lot of Koreans don't like Japan. And I'm guessing the LANs would be in KR because more infrastructure and I could see a ton of Korean fans being very bad.

why do you guys think the japan viewers will just vanish if you combine them with korea or sea lmao, they will still watch and even more people will watch just to see how they play against other regions, plus the hate part is all just nationalists, players don't hate each other, the CR roster is half korean...

There still are quite a bit of nationalism in Korea. Also it would make it less likely to have JP streamers watch party the games. Stylish noob gets a ton of views as well. Which would probably decrease JP viewership overall even though it doesn't provide money for Riot.

Ehh. Still pretty common. It's not as common as before. But it's still quite common for Koreans to dislike Japan. It's not going to be the majority. But there will be some Korean fans who could definitely be very bad when Japans come to Korea for the LANs.

Also there are quite a few conservative dumbasses. Just like everywhere. There are quite a few dumbasses. But the dumbasses in Korea. They don't like Japan.

Just reduce the slots for international tournament for those regions. No one want to watch such dominant matches Emea matches was too much competetive than this so JP SEA BR slots are just to reduce the quality of the games. Some of this slots can be distribute between na and emea they deserve more.
