4 groups of 12 wouldn't work in a swiss tho, you'd end up with 3 teams in 2-0/0-2 brackets leaving one of them without a matchup OR you'd have top have a weird number of team going thru (eg. 3 teams that went 2-0/6 teams that went 2-0 or 2-1) making it awkward to run the next stage of the event with 9 or 18 teams

if it was so noncompetitive then why did most top teams make it into the later rounds? we had DRX, Loud, NRG and Fnatic in the top 4 wich were probably the best 4 back then, only upsets we really had were PRX or maybe Liquid going out so early wich is a healthy amount of upsets
