generative AI in our entertainment will never be a good thing, AI slop is already frying people’s brain. the rise of the technology will replace genuinely talented people in our favourite industries just to save mr.bezo’s a couple of cents. i hope that ai use can be heavily regulated because i can’t understand why the fuck anybody would want our shows and movies to be automated? food made by talented chefs will always taste better than frozen dinner, and you can’t really argue that AI generated content will be a cheaper alternative because no tf it ain’t. netflix and other media company executives would rather cut open their own stomachs with a butter knife than to lower subscription and ticket prices. on top of that, openAI is projected to LOSE 14 billion this year alone, enjoy creating your AI dog shit while you still can because i don’t see this stuff continuing to be free in the long term.

also “AI artists” will never be real artists, telling the chef how you want your food made does not make you the chef.
