Hmm, leave my foot alone or play russian roulette with a 4/6 loaded pistol. I WONDER WHICH CHOICE IS CORRECT?!?! hurrrr durrrrr

If their official matches are this fucking scattered with the roster, I can't even imagine what the hell they're doing in scrims. Really feels like GE have trolled themselves. I could get behind selectively bringing in SKrossi and lightning fast depending on which duelist you need, but this is too much.
Do you think anyone on loud actually feels the way you do? You should be ashamed of yourself. You're not a real fan of anything.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Sentinels only looked good at the first international event of 2021. At both berlin and champions they looked mediocre. I don't think whatever he learned at those two tournaments/2021 reykjavik is anywhere close enough to have him prepared to face the elevated level of competition we're seeing in americas.
Like I said, valorant is a young game. Things progress quickly in new games and it is extremely easy to be left behind if you're not near the top fighting through the innovation and continuously oncoming talent that arises as a game's professional scene is thoroughly established. Sure he was at lock/in but he only had a single official match.
You're not changing my mind about this and it seems I'm not changing yours. Lets leave it at that.
Not gonna touch the experience comment? Please touch it. I don't think anything I've said is unreasonable or controversial. Tenz didn't attend a single international tournament last year. Playing valorant regionally and finding success is is not equivalent to playing internationally and finding success. He didn't even manage to do the first last year, which wasn't necessarily his fault but the point still stands, he hasn't experienced what the others have since 2021. Valorant is a young game. Things have changed a lot in the last year.
As for the head coach point, fair enough.
Tenz hasn't been at the top of competitive play since early 2021, two years. In those two years, the game has progressed and the vast majority of the time, he was without a real coach. Saying he lacks competitive experience at the top level of play isn't a joke, it's the truth. Everyone else on his team was top 6 at least at champions last year.
As for sykko, from the interview he did with wyatt a few months ago, we know that he relies heavily on others for strategy/analysis when it comes to coaching. He is more an emotional leader when it comes to coaching. Yes, kaplan wasn't doing all the strats. But what I'm saying is that removiing sykko alone shouldn't be such a big strategic change as that wasn't really his thing in the first place.
How tho? Kaplan was still doing all the strats while sykko was coach. I think it was just roles and tenz lacking experience at the highest levels of play(first masters was too long ago).
2-0 GES
Is that 70% really only 70%? The only one I like are europeans(bren/sideshow), so it's more like 100% for me. Although, I usually don't mind sully/upmind too much.
Skip school and stop making poor life choices
Pretty sure it is a round robin. If you look at the last scheduled matches currently, they're on April 21st even though the regular season is supposed to go until May 3rd. The latter portion of the round robin just isn't scheduled yet is my guess, but it should be a full round robin.
All these threads suggesting hypothetical roster changes are so dumb, rosters are locked for the next 5 months. There will be no changes.
Not sure. I thought it was map diff>rnd diff>head to head
If something like that occurred, then yes, riot would make an emergency exception and let a team pick up new players.
Based off that wyatt/sykko interview from a while ago, sykko doesn't actually do any strategy/analysis. He's only an out of game leader of the team. So outside of them actually having a strategic/analytical coach for timeouts, (which admittedly could help) this doesn't really change anything I think.
Speaking english does not mean he would be comfortable/good igling in english. Just look at redgar, he had a lot of issues igling in english at first. Sacy's english is better but doesn't mean he won't have issues. And he also hasn't igled since 2021 I think.
Is next week and has 8 North America vs South America match-ups out of 10. I can't describe how excited and scared at the same time I am. >_>
Honestly, think sen are screwed either way tbh. Either tenz stays in and continues to play poorly tanking the season or marved comes in, but roles are thrown into chaos again and they need time to adapt to a new player which again tanks the season.
There is no picking up players, rosters are locked until september
Ten essentially solo losing round 15, walks straight into enemy with utility out after hearing enemy break his sage wall
edit: they were up 4v2
Yep, the more I watch NRG, the more I think they won't be nearly as successful internationally. They just don't have the same firepower they did as last year with yay in the chamber meta. Thought ardiis could serve as workable replacement, but he's no where close.
No, tokyo winner determines who gets extra spot for champs
edit: meant tokyo winner*
I've never been the biggest fan of tasteless' casting of games outside of starcraft.
Outside of maybe split, double duelist isn't meta. Why would they do that?
DRX 2-1 PRX
TS 2-0 RRQ
C9 1-2 100T
NRG 2-0 MIBR
There's nothing illegal about it. There's just no point as no GC players are good enough to play at that level yet.
If they can perform on lan, sure. But that's the big question. Even if V1 dominate super hard for the rest of the year prior to GC championship, there's no way we'll know until they get there. Unless they put one of these NA GC tournaments on lan before that but I don't think that's happening.
Being hopeful≠delusional. E-sports≠Physical sports. It's impossible for biological women to compete with men in almost all physical sports. Just because it hasn't happened in valorant and it's unlikely to happen in the near future doesn't mean it will never happen. But you can stew in your pessimism if you wish. I'm done responding.
Lol sorry, you just sound like an asshole. Doing this is better than doing nothing. People also just want to see woman compete in valorant, even if they never get good enough to make it to the main circuit. Game changers kills two birds with one stone. Please stop your bitching.
Valo definitely has a large player base of women but how many of them are actually grinding the shit out of the game with the intention(or maybe not even the intention) of going pro? I can't tell you the ratio of men vs women doing this, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was literally 1000 to 1 despite valo have a huge female player-base(40% i think?).
This is one of the major reasons men dominate in e-sports. Besides the minor differences in reaction time, the greater tendency of men to throw them self into such competition is what creates such crazy disparity. Realistically, there is no way to address this, there will always be far more men in e-sports but a good start is to make it as easy as possible for women to enter competition. That is what game changers is doing.
And yes, no main circuit team is gonna recruit a gc player just because she's popping off, but a t2 hopeful team might. No one is expecting this to quickly work. It might be futile, but there's nothing wrong with putting in effort to try to elevate the level of play of women.
I'd truly love to see how'd she do in a potter-EGish situation where you just threw her in with good talent. Probably end up being disappointed but still, would love to see her try.
The goal is to pull more women into competing in the first place. The hope is that some of them might eventually take the next step, join a co-ed roster and do something of significance in the main circuit. Without game changers, you just have no women competing at all and no hope of that scenario panning out.
Nahh, probably not. Flor would hold her own and the rest of the players would get aim diffed unfortunately. Although, with the way KC's been playing, I could definitely see them maybe taking a map.
Hmm, read this pretty fast but my general take away from this: George is pretty creepy. That's about it. I miss anything?
edit: Also see people calling this pedo? lol she's 18, and this started less than a month ago, definitely can't be calling him a pedo, he's just creepy.
Yea, it really was too much. Hyping yourself up that much can really be problematic, especially if you under perform expectations. Just puts you in the worst psychological state to recover. Also, just obnoxious for your competition lol. Hopefully V1/meL can do better at this years GC championships (assuming they make it, which they should).
uhh huh, and last year it was bob>>>> i wonder why it's suddenly changed.
