Hello vlr, I'm proud to announce that Cloudberries are back and better than ever! First I'd like to (once again) bring up that we have a discord where we regularly host events (we recently played jeopardy) and is pretty active with some special guests. This week of premier was lotus, one of our more favorable maps but also a map we never got to play in premier. For the next few weeks Cloudberry (and partially I) will not be participating in games, so we have gotten a new player @E1ijah. We had to get a sub this week for our star duelist Kamui, so we had 🇨🇳 Saebr join us for a few games. We started the new season off hot winning a dominant map 13-3 thanks to hero plays from Topphat and Elijah. However on our second map we had a very rough first half at 2-10, we had a slight come back however we couldn't close it out and lost 6-13.
This ends week one of premier with 125 points and rank number 16 of open 3 (same division because we forgot to change players lol).

A very reliable source has told me that the replay system has actually been in development since episode 5 but it was on the back burner and given low priority due to pushes from Riot hq to prioritize microtransactions, the videos shown during the 'dev diaries' are actually pretty old and there is a working version of the replay system ready to ship however the Valorant team is not yet ready to publicize the replay client. With the current environment inside Riot, employees are encouraged to push features that monetise and get alot of users onto their games. No one is currently comfortable with pushing for the replay system as it will do neither of this inherently. The 'gifting' system is currently being pushed forward and a top priority for some executives and employees to climb in their careers as it is a simple feature will easily increase revenue.

I don't think they've ever talked about multistreaming specifically but leo Faria has talked about formats and group stages alot in his interviews with platchat iirc
I think they do not multistream because they want to highlight every game instead of making viewers choose either game or have to keep switching tabs
I think multistreaming is only really worth it in realy big tournaments, vct tournaments are relatively small and don't really need it imo
