Riot announced a NA Collegiate League so, maybe they’re opening up to new ideas. Plus, those sponsors can be involved in the grass root stuff as well. Win/Win

I think we solved the problem... Someone grab RIOT!!! lol.

Hopefully they have a similar system planned and not completely kill the t2/3 scene. I know we got a tournament mode that'll somehow lead to pro play. We'll see...

It's regional so, similar to what we have now right? LATAM North, LATAM South, Brazil & US. Maybe you can split the US into East & West or add a Canadian league but, an online league should be fine minus a few ping issues.

You could also have a relegation system installed to keep the top teams in the league and also keep orgs involved consistently.

Only issue with T2 teams being involved with Pro-League is that it's a LAN league so... You run into an issue where teams are unable to relocate or participate.

But yes, overall this is a solid plan.

Let's say we have 10 teams per league... Awesome, these teams are guaranteed a path to international tournaments, ad revenue, cosmetic revenue, etc. Whatever they have planned for them.

Tier 2 should work exactly like VCT... Meaning, we create regional leagues. Make sure they're being promoted, broadcasted, highlighted in socials etc. Now, unlike the VRL Finals which essentially lead to nothing more then a payday we could design it to winning a spot into international tournaments (along with a prize pool).

So, let's say we have 12 spots in Masters 1 in 2023... 8 of those are secured by the Pro-League and the other 4 are determined by the regional leagues. This way we get a constant flux of new teams in international play, new players, new stories etc. Something like CSGO with BLAST, ESL etc. And orgs would be willing to invest in salaries for these teams. Maybe not PRO LEAGUE salaries but, something.

Then, Riot could do like a Masters 1 Battlepass where proceeds go towards teams, or cosmetics or whatever idk. I might be a little all over the place but what do we think... Good or Trash?!?

Just wait till everything gets announced but yes. Orgs leaving was expected.

5 NA teams lol. It’ll be 6 for sure

10 seems to small for an Americas league. Not sure why it could be split in 2 and have 8 per league or something. Idk.

6 NA, 3 BR & 1LATAM or 2BR & 2LATAM

That’s more then likely the split.

This accurate

Currently ranked #8 in PC Bangs so, it’s definitely growing.

Valorant hovers between 8-10… 8 being it’s highest placement

Optic bombed out in Groups at Champions before winning Iceland… Prior to bombing out they came in 2nd @ Berlin.

Just saying people.

posted about a year ago

I mean… Riot made that decision. A weird one but, I’m guessing it’ll expand as time goes on. I’m sure $$$ played a factor into it and I hope they at least do 12 for the Americas league.

It’s more then likely 10 though.

Yeah… If you combine 2 continents lol.

Technically… Asia has 6 spots to Champions.

NA & APAC in Upper Bracket... Cry free my boy

BR/LATAM getting 4 spots in Champions is wild... Not going to lie

This is a stupid take

EDIT: Wrong reply... Good take lol

CS is just one of the founders of modern-day esports... Same reason LoL & DOTA do huge numbers. The fact Valorant entered the scene and being successful pulling off multiple million viewed events says a lot more. Scene is oversaturated with esports and Val is tier 1... Give it a few years and you'll see the results of that Riot machine.

Exactly!!

^^^ I read that like "Wtf?!?" But yeh... Game is ridiculously huge

posted about a year ago

Lol no.... Game is literally growing in every region including yours. LOUD will get a franchise spot, and with it being LAN league style play you'll see the growth just from that.

Just saying... Viewership is only part of having a strong ecosystem.

posted about a year ago

CrossFire biggest fps in the world doing millions of views... Game has a big pro league and even has ventured into a TV Drama series and a Theme Park?!? But guess what... No one knows or cares about it outside of China.

This is what's going on in CSGO... The international events will look more and more European as time goes on but!!! Big views from the major region. I think Riot curating every region is wonderful and in due time the viewership will match that of CSGO.

posted about a year ago

They pulled a LOUD... Bombed out in Groups lol. But they've been consistent for a year.

posted about a year ago

It’s Denmark lol… That’s basically CSGO World. If they chose Korea, Japan, Brazil, US, UK, etc. Sold out fairly quickly.

But, Russia/Ukraine & Covid restrictions kinda fucked everything. Turkey will be a sold out event though.

Optic currently in the upper bracket for playoffs. Pretty consistent results for a random ass game.

I never seen a brand new game esport develop that fast lol.

Still, with Valves open circuit system it just isn’t a viable investment in NA. Anyways, to the original point the game just wasn’t marketed as a CS killer. I do think Riot fanboys thought it could kill it off.

posted about a year ago

I honestly think Covid & Riot helped NA orgs just move on lol. There’s no money in Valves ecosystem and every organization knows this. You have to think… Covid killed NA CS right?

But that same year Valorant releases and you had like 30 orgs join. T1, TSM, G2 etc. That’s why I say Valorant.

posted about a year ago

Never was marketed as a CSGO killer by Riot though. I’m not even sure where that even came from but, Val did kill NA CS & whatever was left of APAC CS. Think a few Chinese & Mongolian teams are all that’s left.

Still, Riot & Tencent never said that.

Dude, why are you even here if you have 0 support for Valorant lol. Game isn’t going anywhere sorry to tell you. It’ll just get bigger & bigger as Asia gets more involved along w/ NA, EMEA & SA.

Relax… Enjoy NaVi v FaZe again

Lol. Source

NA at the very least getting 6/10 spots. Mainly cause of how wealthy & popular the region is

Edit: NA will get 3 spots in Champions if that’s what you mean.

China lol. All you need to know.

Valorant top 10 game in Korea though? And game isn’t released in China yet lol

Lol. What new version lol. If anything all you can hope for in the coming years is Source 2. That’s it. Why on Earth will Valve disrupt there golden goose to make a part 2 lol. They’ve learned from Source to GO… Not happening anytime soon.

KRU super solid… They can beat Optic… Let’s see how this plays out.
