I can’t help but notice Meddo from G2 Esports being consistently bottom-frag. He could be doing the dirty part of G2’s stuff even then he has not risen above mid table over the past few matches even in the OT Breeze defeat against FPX where he only dropped single digit kills. What do you guys think?

Paper Rex has shown that they can go toe to toe with top teams and nearly even beat DRX who went to the distance with OpTic. Paper Rex dismantled The Guard which is a feat in itself despite the fact that the NA team did not perform up to par. PRX against G2 is a match up where G2 will be the benchmark for PRX, at the level of performance shown by G2 here at Masters, Paper Rex will have little trouble defeating them. Paper Rex has the aim and strat while G2 has been struggling with strats. So the prediction would be PRX 2-0 G2, Paper Rex choosing Breeze, G2 Esports choosing Icebox with Haven leftover.

This is a case where I think looking at what DRX can do against OpTic rather than what OpTic can do against DRX as we already know what OpTic is capable of. DRX has looked dominant with the slight outlier of Paper Rex even then Map 2 & 3 against PRX showed that DRX is able to out-strat a strong aiming team such as Paper Rex so DRX making a strat to shut down yay isn’t out of the realm of possibility. So my prediction would be DRX 2:1 OpTic with DRX choosing Split, OpTic opting for Bind and Ascend left over. DRX is strong on Haven but we can’t forget that OpTic is also showing exemplary control on the map on Attack so it will be a gamble for both teams to choose Haven.

ZETA mainly centers their strategy around their aiming alongside a few set-pieces which is the opposite to Liquid where I believe runs a more set-piece heavy play-style. ZETA’s play-style can be seen struggling in the initial match against DRX who contains both the aim AND the strategies as seen in the match against Paper Rex and more but this is much further into the tourney now thus I strongly believe that ZETA’s aim would play a massive role in this matchup against Liquid with how shaky Liquid looked with their strats. I think a scoreline of ZETA 2:1 Liquid, ZETA boldly choosing Split, Liquid choosing Icebox and Fracture left over.
