If an org goes for the name before the fit because of pumped up numbers, I assume they do it to expand their brand value and thus profit mid-term. How does this apply to the most popular and well-established European org?
If you're not familiar with G2 the answer is different yet simple; they don't need this, they've never cared about this and never will. That's just a bonus, it's nowhere near close to being one of the main reasons. As I once replied here:
[ I think we're overreacting those "monetary gains" a bit for an org like G2 which can make another superstar out of thin air (in this case, it's the org that makes them popular, not the other way around, take any of their additions accross their different esports games as an example. Mixwell joined purely because of his performance and it paid off
Also those gains go to Mixwell mostly and he's already established his audience, it's not like he'll pop off again (so where can you keep mining that "fanbase"?)
