And yes in traditional sports they have ties, because that’s simply how the game works and you can’t have the players do overtimes every single game. But actually they do play bo1 in traditional sports, they play twice against each team one game each time, literally the same case. Not two games in a row just once which would be a Bo2.

What you're thinking is that if two teams have to play a game is better for them to play two maps than one, seems obvious right? But no because that is just not the case, you're not taking into account that this league has a time limit you can't play as many games as young want. All Bo2 leagues play 2 games a day and once against every team during the league, meanwhile, Bo1 leagues play 5 games a day and twice against each team during the league.

This means that for 1 Bo2 played in the league 2 Bo1are played in the other one, so same amount of maps, but more spaced in time so teams have a higher chance of improving throughout the competition and without the possibility of ties that simply sucks to spend 2 hours watching a game that no one won, the same feeling than tying a ranked.
