Nah what you’re proposing here does not make sense at least no on a context of Franchising. If there is relegation then it’s just an invitational league, which is possible but it’s completely incompatible with what Riot has already proposed. And in my opinion what they’re doing is a lot better
Look first of all 2 teams ascending every year is already confirmed if you check how the system works but basically the proposal is:
2023: 1 team ascends (11 team league)
2024: 1 team ascends (12 team league)
2025: 2 team ascend, 2023 team is relegated (13 team league)
2026: 2 team ascend, 2024 team is relegated (14 team league)
2027 and on: 2 teams ascend and the 2 teams that ascended 2 years ago (2025) are relegated (14 team league forever)
There is something else tho, which is what gives the pressure to actually perform well to every single org and avoid Astralis LOL kind of things. Every 4 years (2027) Riot gets to change as many franchised teams as they want, so if they decided any of the ascended orgs does a better job than one of the partnered ones then you’re out. I think this is great, because it gives orgs times to build long term projects but also gives them the pressure to perform, so if an org does bad it’s not because they don’t care it’s just because they missed. Plus doesn’t limit you to just 1 descended, it can be as many as Riot wants
Ardiis is not a support player, he’s utility is not good on any agent, but he is a killer so he should just do what he does best
Víctor is the weakest link of the team but he is still better than Ardiis on flex. Ardiis is an S tier Jett and a B tier flex
He deserves it tho, if it was any other player he wouldn’t have those numbers

Alright, I’ll develop my point a bit more. I think it’s very important to distinguish between Top tier 1 players, low tier 1 players and top tier 2 players. And yes, most of the times it’s hard Ik.
But the thing is, a tier 1 team can have a couple weaker links with low tier 1 players or tier 2 players who are adapting etc. The problem comes when a roster is completely made out of very low tier 1 players and top tier 2, when that’s the case the team becomes just not good enough, even though all those players would be more than fine surrounded by better players
As awful as some tier 1 teams look, let’s try to be realistic, now imagine TH had signed the current Acend or Apeks roster, who would they be better than? Would people not make this thread saying -someone +Zeek/boo etc?

And btw not saying this because it’s TH, I think that about all rosters on the league, maybe applies a bit less to Turkey but that’s just because of the crazy amount of options
I don’t think assuming tier 1 players are not playing good means some tier 2 pros better. I think there is very very few tier 2 players who would give the level in tier 1, and that’s just if they are surrounded by better players than them

Not much tbh, it is important for Relegation. Each team gets points points according to their placement this split. Those points matter to see who is relegated but I do not know to what point it is relevant to actually make ascension

This is frist split my friend. The winner of the second split is who goes to Ascension, so none of the 2 are going rn
But yeah, only the winner of each league goes to ascension, 1 team is ascending you if you can't beat your own region you're gonna be maximum #2 in ascension and not make it so doesn't really matter
