how can you call a brand new team washed lol

posted about 3 years ago

all this talk just to likely go 1-4 in groups anyways.

Guard or Ghost, despite both maps being somewhat lopsided (not to mention guard kinda choking on ascent tho) this series is pretty good

posted about 3 years ago

I meant that as that Jett and Chamber getting nerfs we've seen ALOT of teams play other duelists.
Jonahs Raze > Jonahs Jett
Saya on Jett woulda been way better. I just think a big reason why theyre losing rn is the role swaps

posted about 3 years ago

the role swap is definitely a big culprit too

posted about 3 years ago

welcome to VLR, people will rather say "this team washed kekw" over saying another team played well or above and beyond.

posted about 3 years ago

not to mention clearly this role switch hasnt worked out for them at all

posted about 3 years ago

Welcome to VLR, people would rather say a teams washed than another team plays amazingly.

Guard since the role swap has been awful.
Ghost is a really underestimated team and theyre finally on the tier 1 stage and showing up, they kept it close against XSET too.

posted about 3 years ago

I think the Guards main flaw right now is trying to change roles with the meta shift. Clearly its not working for them, like keep Net on sentinels like Chamber, with Saya on Jett/Raze, and Jonah playing flex support. Cause thats what they were winning on, ever since the shift it has looked really rocky for Guard.

posted about 3 years ago

I think Guard is trying to swap roles based off the new meta, but clearly its done more hurt than help. Not that theyre washed or that theyre flukers, they're just making a really STUPID decision in their role switches because now they're falling off.

posted about 3 years ago

Because Jonah is the teams flex player, and they're trying to move Saya onto Chamber with the meta shift away from jett.

Plus Jonah is a good opper

i forgot who said it but LG has a contingency that their win rate is like 75-80%+ if both mada and bdog are popping off and going positive

mada nutty

as an NRG fan, lets be real, no. Will they go 1-4 and miss playoffs this stage like they did before? no, but 5-0 is unlikely. theyve improved but they're still gonna likely lose to XSET and Guard, not to mention the very improved 100T. Altho between Guard and 100T I can see NRG taking ONE of those two if Guard don't turn around.

My personal prediction for their group is
XSET 4-1 (loss Guard)
Guard 4-1 (loss 100T)
NRG 3-2 (loss XSET, GUARD)
100T 3-2 (loss NRG, XSET)
TSM 1-4 (loss NRG, Guard, XSET, 100T)
Ghost 0-5

NRG ez

That coming off likely only having done scrims since Stage 1, XSET and Guard also looked a bit shaky coming into week 1, even Optic (slightly) did.

Its moreso the competition level of every other team has gotten stronger to where I think every match we see here is gonna be alot more competitive. Like earlier today with NRG and TSM, 2 teams that have drastically improved were neck and neck for both of their matches despite a 2-0

posted about 3 years ago

EG is playing amazingly. Theyve really improved since last stage. C9 Don't look on top form but either way, NA's competition level has definitely increased this year. Which is moreso "bad" teams getting better and being able to compete with the top tier teams.

Teams like Ghost, EG, 100T, TSM, NRG, FaZe have all made drastic improvements to their core roster if not complete overhauls in order to be able to compete against the top 3-4 teams in NA.

The only teams that have gotten worse seemingly are Sentinels, MAYBE Guard if theyre still mentally down over Iceland, and V1?? But that was mostly Zellsis mental + wippie Visa issues on why they didnt qualify.

posted about 3 years ago

vlr just braindead, anytime a team is losing theyre always gonna say theyre washed or theyre bad now. Competition is just alot better in NA.

They dont have weird role issues? Theyre experimenting with no duelist comps at times where S0m, the main duelist isnt on a duelist, Ethans the main flex player for NRG, Hazed on smokes, Tex is the sentinel player that is mainly Chamber now, and Eeiu is initiators. I dont see where they have issues in it. But they do have a very versatile roster now because of the Ethan addition.
