its getting very hard to support this team man
nah fr, i just came back and i already hate it
Its probably NA bias for NA commentators, likely the same with BR casting (I dunno I don't watch BR stream, someone can correct me if i'm wrong)
and to be fair, furia and mibr haven't had much good outside of furia the last 2-3 weeks
yeah he's better than most but he still has been a mad glazer for some teams/players at times
he was always the consistent above average factor on c9, pre franchising he was in the better half of NA initiators, but him and vanity are buddy buddy so
yeah caster glaze is always kind of annoying, like im an nrg fan but sometimes seeing babybay or vansili glaze and im like no its an asinine play dont cap
every caster has been guilty of this just some are worse than others
I think they need a superstar like yay to turn this team around
s0m, saadhaak, chronicle, f0rsaken, rb, zekken, and sayf all have i think?
can't 100T lose out and miss playoffs too in spot of EG?
aka its unlikely for them to make it, but NRG would need the following to happen
If they beat C9 here, the C9/KRU game doesn't matter as they hold H2H over one of those 2 due to all 3 finishing with a 3 way 5-5 tie
100T/EG whoever loses that game has to lose to LOUD/MIBR afterwards and likely have it be cleanly
If they win they have H2H over KRU/C9 if either of those finish at 5-5, 100T and or EG have to lose out as well.
NRG being better than they were vs SEN and G2. KRU and C9 playing like ass are the 2 combos there
they're not technically out yet?
S0m is a better smokes player OVERALL was my point, Not just Omen, until TenZ is playing Brim, Viper, Harbor, Clove, and Astra. Its gonna stay that way, TenZ is a better player mechanically who can play Omen.
Its like saying Leaf is the best KJ in the world because he's an ex duelist who puts up insane numbers and has good value from playing KJ because thats his role on the team now.
yea ik, i was just listing others for the hell of it
leaving out Yay, Jingg, F0rsaken, and Derke just to name a few others on that level
I said SEN as a team overall was shit post reykjavik 2021, Good enough to get to Berlin and Champs, but didn't do much meaningful there, 2022 missed everything, 2023 missed everything and went out first at Lock/in (to FNC which is understandable, so thats not rlly fair to judge too hard)
All I said was s0m is a better smokes player, Tenz is better mechanically so he can frag out better, and has done consistently for years, even on bad SEN teams, its the same case with s0m on NRG through various roles. Don't think its very hypocritical to say that its a team game?
The Crashies and Mako disrespect is crazy, both were top 5 in their roles for 3 years straight and only have struggled as of recently. Can't really call them frauds when they've been historically good for more than half to one season of their careers like most of this list
Better smokes player yes, the horde didn't like that comment apparently, sure tenz switched to the most duelist like controller (pre clove) and was able to put up numbers. That's to be expected.
Everyone talking about how Tenz has trophies forgets that it's a team game. SEN wasn't shit post Reykjavik up until Madrid. NRG as an org historically also hasn't been shit so the statement isn't fair to make about trophies as that doesn't reflect the agent choices
thats not even bait.
C9 would be dogshit without oxy.
Demon1 chose to take a break, thats why he was benched.
ik the c9 flair isn't talking, 2nd most nepotism org after TS.
Also pretty sure this core has the same synergy and historically better than clown9
I wouldn't put Ethan back on IGL, he even said he doesn't want to, if FNS does leave he wants to stream, not coach, getting an actual dedicated IGL would be nice, I doubt Valyn leaves G2, that core has stuck together and been successful.
I agree with most of the roster ideas but getting an actual IGL in that position is what would be important, someone like Zander, Mitch, Flyuh, Stellar would be a better option than moving Ethan into that role, keeping him on flex over someone like n4rrate would be better
Could be an L move but we'll see how KRU finish
I'm honestly torn over this match cus G2 is my 2nd fav team and been glad to see them doing well even with NRGs struggles, but i think ik who im rooting for at this point
Franchise Orgs have a 4 year contract that will be up for renew/reevaluation in 2027. So say an org like EG collapses (due to the state theyre in, just an example) the slot will be replaced with another org, same could be said with Furia, MIBR, other orgs in other regions who didn't seem to put effort into investing
what ranks are we talking about or is this just unrated casual comms?
Thats true, I'm not really agreeing with the silver statement, I was just saying that they fell off pretty soon after Berlin.
I will say prime Optic only ever really was losing to teams like Gambit and prime LOUD outside of a few one off games.
I seem to recall Gambit falling off (mainly due to the conflict and losing the org support) and missing all of the 2022 LANs
as #7 pointed out, just do a VN/HK/TW/PH and a MY/SG/TH/ID split of the leagues if you're gonna merge, close enough together and theres still enough talent depth rather than gutting most leagues.
OCE and SA are still too large by this too.
RIP APAC T2
who said shit about Yay and DSG other than you, lmao
I'm not blaming Ardiis specifically for those, he just wasn't coming as advertised like how he was performing on FPX in 2022, that could be a system thing but even now all of NAVI are underperforming to what their history would indicate. That roster of NRG across the board just underperformed, Tokyo was a good run but everyone shit the bed against cgrs. BLG was on everyone, they all lost to whzy judge.
Sage wall incident was pretty funny but yeah they lost that game awhile before that.
Ardiis massively underformed on NRG, whether he was a EU double agent or just not synergizing, everyone on that team did go on the record to say alot went wrong that wasn't just him and that it was only gonna be a roster for that season.
Ethan while not being a historically fragging out duelist he's been a consistent support player across multiple teams, plus he's played with at the time, s0m and FNS back on NRG 2022 and CS with FNS. Atleast in the context of this split, in the prior split we signed Demon1 to replace Ardiis, not Ethan.
