This propaganda unfortunately seems to have been successful. "Döner" is literally Turkish word and invented in the Ottoman Empire, Bursa city 16th century. Germans claim that döner belongs to them but its bullshit. A type of bread and sauces cant change the origin of dish. For example If i put sushi between bread and add ketchup, the origin of dish wont change
