Player violates rule 7.1.2 of the VCT Global Competition Policy.
Bottom line: During an unofficial practice between KRÜ and Gamelanders, Keznit violated rule 7.1.2 of the Global Competition Policy, which states that players must adhere to the highest standards of personal integrity and good sportsmanship at all times . As a result, Keznit will be suspended for one series (Bo3) in the LATAM VCT Challengers, and is subject to a 6-month probationary period. In addition, Keznit will have to complete a professionalism course.
CONTEXT
In February 2022, during an unofficial practice between KRÜ and Gamelanders, a written conflict between KRÜ and Gamelanders players occurred that included personal attacks directed at players from both teams. During the exchange, Angelo "keznit" Mori made an offensive comment about Douglas "dgzin" Silva, inappropriate for a professional player.
SANCTIONS
Discriminatory comments directly violate the standards expected of players participating in the VALORANT Champions Tour. As a consequence, the Riot Games Global Competitive Operations team, supported by the Brazilian and LATAM regional teams, decided that Keznit will be suspended for the upcoming LATAM VCT Challengers Bo3 series. Keznit will also undergo a 6-month trial period in which his account will be periodically reviewed for any signs of toxicity. Any other violation of this policy during the trial period will result in increased penalties, including suspensions, forfeiture of prize money and/or loss of circuit points.
Keznit will be required to attend a pro course under Riot's supervision. These reformative measures will provide you with structured learning opportunities in professional communication and personal development, consistent with the standards expected of players participating in the VALORANT Champions Tour. As part of the professionalism course, Keznit will be informed of the proper channels that are available to players participating in the VALORANT Champions Tour if they feel they are being harassed.
