China gets more esports viewership than all of Pacific, wtf are you on

FPX should clear Sen (if Sen keep playing like this) but who knows. It's gonna be a banger either way

No, the last time they played (at Shanghai) they played a (from memory kinda close) game, which Paper Rex won. You're thinking of Madrid, which, fair, but PRX still came third in that tournament.
No hate to EDG, I love them, but there's no need to spread misinformation.

China has a massive population and insane viewership. In terms of population, that ratio to those other countries seems about right for a country of well over a billion people with a large esports scene (India has a similarly big population but lower viewership/revenue).
According to this article from 2022, China's total esports revenue is greater than the rest of Asia combined; from that perspective, China having its own league makes perfect sense; there's enough of a market to support it, and it worked for League with the LPL.
Also, Korea has 3 teams (DRX, GENG, T1).

They didn't play great, but they very nearly beat 100T, who look really good. If they won, we'd be having a similar conversation about 100T, who didn't win especially convincingly. Like, if this is bad, then some of these teams are straight fucking dogshit. I'm a PRX fan, I'm malding too, but just keep things in perspective; PRX will definitely make Champions, they will almost certainly make playoffs, they might even win. Like, chill, it's not that bad.

EDG vs Heretics ≠ EDG vs PRX
Like, EDG genuinely played well vs PRX.

Asia has two regions (China and APAC), which are the two largest markets for esports - every seat in Shanghai is fully booked, for example. That means everyone in these regions gets good times, as well as OCE. That's a good solution for a huge proportion of people who are not adequately represented by VLR posters.l
