Bro, vlr.gg users need to be humbled. You can't shit talk anyone, let alone a top duelist on the world stage. Pros will talk shit to each other because they can actually put up or shut up. You should just shut up

Well played! Excited to see what the future holds for Akrew! :)

Watched this clip a couple of times in real-time and at 0.25x speed. Seems EXTREMELY lucky with the snapping on the spray transfers and double back.

So just extremely lucky and precise valorant gameplay???

I could see him transferring to more of a coaching role because of his great amount of experience but I don't know how active or motivated he is to continue at the highest level as a player

why'd you put China above Japan? have they had any public or international tournaments? I don't think they can be ranked if we haven't really seen any play from them, but that's just my thoughts

Has G2 Gozen been able to break through the tier 2 EMEA scene? I know that while C9W is undefeated in game-changers, they have only found moderate tier 2 success and haven't quite been able to find consistent performances.

Great reads, did you use Minitab or something to do all the analysis? I'm also curious about the statistics you developed. It would be interesting to see how one could utlize and manipulate the stats that vlr.gg gives us to create our own efficiency/impact stats like they have for the MLB, NBA, etc...

For example, it would probably require some linear algebra (in addition to the regular stats) but with Valorant even the head-to-head matchups could be taken into account as we actually get to see results of these direct match-ups unlike in any other sport. Would be interesting to see how players' weights and averages are affected depending on the opponent classification (i.e PACE) or by the individual.

I wanted to look up the stats from Raleigh, the first Halo Infinite LAN, but I can't find the game stats anywhere - just the bracket results.

Does anyone know where I can look? I was hoping for something similar to the stats option on vlr.gg

dephh has been in NA for a while now, he started in NA for Valorant not EMEA

Don't be salty at VS, it's a part of the game and a part of the rules. Complain to RIOT if anything... smh it was just a joke, but it turns out fans like you were the clowns

I'm a fan of the Brazilian scene but this whole couple of days has been YIKES

I would 100% but I'm also trying to learn Portuguese because I have a lot of Brazilian friends in the states, so I'm probably not the best representative

Anything by Brandon Sanderson, but both the Mistborn Chronicles and the Stormlight Archives are S-tier.

I also love the Kingkiller Chronicles but that is a slow start and can be tough if you aren't an experienced reader.

I think that overall it is still less of an impact than a smurf in low elo.

One: the first aspect is time - the smurf will be demotivated sooner in the grand scheme and can impact fewer overall games.

Two: higher elos will be less affected. there is greater teamplay and possibility to play around a bad teammate, than for lower elo to fight against someone who is just many tiers higher mechanically skilled than you

posted about 2 years ago

It's obviously not aggressive enough, if there is still this much conversation about smurfing. I say crank it up and see what happens

posted about 2 years ago

I don't understand why a team should lose any elo when a random teammate (not in your party) leaves the game mid-match.

Shouldn't it be that you don't lose any elo, or that it is severely decreased?

If this gets abused, the elo punishment could be transferred in part to the afk player, instead of just being wiped entirely. aka -30 or -50 elo for leaving a game mid-match. Perhaps depending on how early in the game.

Overcorrect their rank. For new accounts, overshoot their rank until they are over their head and start to have bad games. Smurfs create accounts to have fun, and the biggest difficulty to smurf is the time it takes to make one. So if it is quickly at or above their elo, they will abandon the account, or actually be at the appropriate rank and no longer have a disproportionate impact.

This minimizes the amount of time that a smurf account can be active as a smurf.

Thoughts?

I keep seeing them chewing something during their games, both at Berlin and now during the LCQ.

Is it caffeine gum or something?

SEN fans and TSM fans are easily the most cringe in NA.

Though Hiko fans get an honorable mention (different than 100T fans lmao)

yikes

C9 white has already 2-0'd all 3 teams (2 now) that are left standing in the lower bracket.

Hardest path to grand finals (best opponents), but made it look eZ

posted about 2 years ago

Great Statistics! I know people might think this is super biased because of the flair, but TenZ on Jett was another level at Berlin, no one even came close to his numbers when solely comparing Jett play.

People reflexively down-fragged... just sort by Jett for berlin event stats. 341 acs & 2.3 k/d vs everyone else with 280 acs or lower. People must really hate SEN fans jeez lmao
cNed similarly was by far the best Sage with 298 acs on that agent, no one else came close.

Personally, I would love to see this. Would make for a scary roster.

Same, him and Nature were my favorites on the IMT roster.

Also Noble didn't disband, they were bought out completely by TSM a month or so after the Levi deal and are now playing as TSM academy

posted about 2 years ago

Nah Zekken left for XSET well before Levi to TSM. The noble roster actually beat TSM without Zekken

posted about 2 years ago

I agree what he is doing is unheard of. Definitely relies on a special kind of teamplay to make it work but clearly, it is working out for Gambit!

posted about 2 years ago

No, but by winning Reykjavik they accumulated enough points to lock in a spot through VCT Points.

Now TSM fans are still rooting for a NA victory here in Berlin otherwise the last LCQ spot will go to the loser of the next NA vs NA match

posted about 2 years ago

SEN qualified for Champions by points.

Whoever wins the next matchup between 100T vs ENVY will qualify off of points.

The losing team will root for NA to win Masters so that they can qualify on points, but if the NA representative loses in the finals then they will need to fight in the NA LCQ.

posted about 2 years ago

When everyone's criticism of SEN fans was why cheer for a team that always won?

Now everyone can enjoy both the close and not-so-close games by Sentinels, and watch with anticipation to see if they can reclaim their throne or be booted off!

Anyone in the top eight could take the title of the new best team in the world! Looking forward to tomorrow :D

posted about 2 years ago

He looked great this match! Want to see more of this. I think consistency will be key for him

posted about 2 years ago

SEN can bleed
G2 looked amazing, great ability to adapt

There are both opportunities for other teams to find weaknesses in SEN, and for SEN to cover those weaknesses now that they've been uncovered.

The rest of the tournament will be super exciting with this!

posted about 2 years ago

Why don't you wait until the end of Berlin or the end of Champions to make those definitive statements lol.

It's an alphabetical thing since the guns are "equivalent." When you translate vandal into Japanese, then write it in Romanji (English letters basically), it comes out earlier alphabetically.

Yeah its a known thing for the Japanese Language version of the game.
