Yeah, I've heard the same thing when I was inquiring about Loud ( I suggested that they go to Mexico and play from there, but it appears you have to be in the U.S. to play at an online event 🤷🏻♂️)

Update at the main post: According to Furia, 2G and LEV, the matches of the first day of Americas Qualify won't be broadcast because EMEA ones weren't
They do it because most tournaments just have a copy-paste rulebook where a patch only comes into play if its implemented 2 weeks+ before the first match, Tejo nerf happened 2-3 days ago.
If it was the other way around(current patch), teams would also complain that they didn't have time to practice with the new meta.
It sucks a bit more for MIBR/Aspas because they will play 10~ days after the nerf, but still, it is probably the right thing to do.
Major points for this to happen (#1 and #3):
Ppl that came from Counter-Strike had guaranteed spots on beggining of Val and (for the most part) if you were good in Cs you wouldnt switch, so some not that good players got into the best teams
There is only a few matches, we can't properly assess who is good and who isn't, even harder when it comes to IGLing, as it takes a deeper understanding of the game to be able to judge someone's skills on it
My livelyhood might be affected because of scumbags, and there is an investigation going on, but I'll go on twitter and say that everyone that had a bad game once was throwing hahahaha I'm also showing off, saying how rich I got match fixing , I'm so craazy 😜😜🤪
