The only way they don't qualify is if some other team (not c9 white or shopify) wins series 3 (qualing directly to the lan) and shopify rebellion gets 2nd while c9w place worse than 7th/8th which would leave SR with 180 points and C9 White with 170 (or 160) thereby having SR qualify to lan through points.

Last year for V1 having to get a sub for wippie, they weren't allowed to get anyone who had played in VCT. It's probably the same case here, where they weren't allowed to get anyone from challengers (since they're directly competing and riot is worried that they would sabotage/steal strats I guess).

That's still not true, there were two british coaches (Sliggy from Liquid and Mini from Fnatic) and two American coaches (Anders from Fnatic and JamezIrl from C9)
