Both teams looked really good but i have to say that DFM's win was more impressive to me, because even though GENG wasn't convincing, it was still GENG. Whereas Varrel looked extremely shakey.
Overall, APAC is looking yet again like the best region.

i don't think aspas would make my TOTS for this year, he has been very shakey. Lots of ups and lots of downs. The rest i agree with

this post is a response to a thread i saw earlier called "f0rsakeN is overrated" and saying he doesn't belong in the top 5 with a few people agreeing.

imo he not only belongs in the top 5 but he should be in the discussion for top 1

I want to think about the question "who is the GOAT" from a coach/manager position, instead of pure 🤓ACS and Rating🤓 like a lot of people tend to do.
When you're building a squad, who is the number 1 player you would want to have?
You could go for chronicle yes, alfa and aspas maybe.

But imo, f0rsaken is the obvious number 1 choice :

• he fills every single role and every single agent in the whole game (whereas the players mentioned above don't even play half his agent pool, aspas only plays 3 agents well ffs)

• he plays said agents to the highest level.

• went to 3 international finals and placed top 3 multiple times.

• most recent masters winner.

• insanely cracked aimer.

• so consistent over the years. Even the times where PRX were dogshit, he was their best player.

• ALSO HE'S IGL

imo, although he doesn't have 2 titles like sacy, TenZ & prime FNC. He is still the GOAT because he would be the single must-have player in any all star roster.

this is the saddest rendition of SEN in years, and i've been there since the sinatraa days.
Even at their worst years SEN played together, this roster however crumbles the second N4RRATE tilts or mentally crumbles. His util becomes piss poor and the rest of the squad gets dragged down.

People here complaining about him not picking the original 2021 SEN roster but how the fuck do you expect them to get SicK back? Are you stupid?

i know it's a bit silly to rank teams from each region because some teams would play good against certain teams that would otherwise be considered better.
But how wild is it that pretty much every region ranking so far was incorrect?

SEN is pretty much the best AMERICAS team. (when they came in as 4th seed)
Trace looked waaay better than BLG and FPX. (even if they were 3rd seed, people still deemed them to be the worst Chinese representative)
DRX is the best APAC representative (when all the spotlight was on GENG and PRX coming into the event)
TH is the best EMEA team (when they came in as 3rd seed)

as for the SEN one, you can definitely say it's a toss up between them and LEV and i wouldn't mind it being LEV. But i still think that when it mattered the most, in an elimination game against Heretics, SEN played better which is why i chose them.

He's great, but he's getting enabled very well by having some of the best support players in the world with him.
I'm sure if you put another top 5 in the world jett in his place, you'd be saying the same thing.
That's not saying Demon1 isn't insane, which he is. It's just that the best duelists in the world are actually way closer in terms of skill level than it shows.
I'm sure if Something or Derke were on NRG instead of Demon1, while keeping the same other 4 players, they'd also farm C9.
