the animation is so bad

yeah that's not how it works. 16 teams is low enough as it is for 50% to be from weak regions. Maybe if it had 32 teams like the World Cup you can have space for smaller scenes.

except EU does not have a uniform fanbase lol. By this logic Spanish scene gets it own slot, French scene get their own slot and so on. Besides 1 slot for CIS is obviously way too low.

That scenes can grow in the Masters events. There's no need to make space for development of scenes in the biggest Valorant event.

yeah so the record will change from 0-12 to 1-16. Not a huge difference, is there?

posted about 2 years ago

yeah so 3-4 slots should be given to such regions, not 50% of the slots. Besides, smaller teams from NA and EMEA would be a underdog story as well, like Cloud9

SEA + KR + JP getting a guaranteed 4 slots should be much worse than EMEA having more than 4 slots, using your own example.

Ok if not 95%, there's still a 85% chance they're losing to NA/EMEA teams. And if 50% of the teams have a 85% chance of losing to the other 50% of teams, that should not be the case for the biggest Valorant event.

they're already getting plenty of exposure at Masters events.

you love to see a fairytale run or a crazy underdog story

Yeah that should be done by underdogs beating good teams. Not by a SEA team getting to the playoffs because they beat other average teams from Japan and Brazil

just because players in CSGO did not have many opportunities does not mean half of the spots in the biggest Valorant event should be given for development of regions instead of giving it to the best teams.

posted about 2 years ago

it's not fresh and exciting if half of the teams are there with a 95% chance of losing to NA/EMEA teams

posted about 2 years ago

4 teams is most definitely NOT enough for EMEA, you can see orgs in EMEA are not investing anywhere as much as orgs in other regions (except Turkey)

posted about 2 years ago

Or you can leave masters for developing the regions and have champions for the best of the best, or have some other better alternative.. No reason to jump to conclusions like this.

8/16 spots at Champions go to teams that have collectively never won a match against EMEA/NA opponents(Record for non-kr/emea/na vs emea/na teams is 0-12). Don't you guys think these regions get way too many spots? Especially SEA having 2 guaranteed spots and a third spot being taken by Full Sense. I think having 8/16 teams more or less having a 95% chance of losing every time they face a EMEA/NA teams is a bad idea for the biggest Valorant event.
