The real problem is kaplan. He is not getting the most out of this team. You have N4rrate who is a really good flex. last year on KC this guy cooked on duelist and initiator. Before that he also played sentinel on MAD Lions on some maps as well. This guy is your flex, why don't you use him as your flex. Then we have Zellsis who's strong point is flash initiator, secondary sentinel. He is not good enough to be your sentinel player, that's the reality. Johnqt either needs to get over the fact that he's gonna have to call on the sentinel role in this current team. His choice to play initiator has too much impact on the team. Either kaplan needs to come up with new strats and comps or we need some roster changes.
If you say Sentinels is doing decent and don't need any changes you are missing the point. SEN is the biggest team in Valorant (for now) and needs to compete to actually win tournaments. getting top 8 at every event is decent but not good enough for a team of this stature.

One BBL deep run in a mickey tournament doesn't mean FUT failed. They've been very decent in the last two years. and it's not like BBL is 5 turkey players either. The problem with zellsis is that he's not good enough mechanically to be on Sentinel nor is he a good enough anchor and has very low clutch rate. These are the feats teams are looking for in their senti players nowadays. Basically he's lacking. Sure you can put him on flash initiatior and John on senti but apparently John cant call as good on senti as he can on initiator.
