it was over the moment he declared indian domicile
Imo RNTX won't be close to VLT when they face off, sadly Azys is a sleeper against good teams and anti's igl is okay but very limited
see #8 for my opinion for why I feel VLT is different, also personally I never felt OG or RNT would do shit at ascension
yes, RNT and OG before that were very dominant within SA but their playstyle revolved around aim duels which doesn't work for SA teams cus Indians get dog walked by SEA teams when it comes to aim. VLT, however, has the 2 best Indian players along with an experienced igl and talented young indo players. RNT had weaklings in para and skillz but this team doesn't have that problem.
VLT looking kinda crazy, no? Can they be the first SA team to do some damage at Ascension?
LightningFast is playing insanely well I'm so happy to see him play like this
Somehow this has developed into a serious discussion so here's my take: Meteor is appreciated a lot for his ability to shoot well, which is somewhat indicated by the ADR stat.
Sure, I can agree that right now, he's not playing the same as he was when they won't Shanghai, but, it's a different team and I feel the individual performance level is not THAT different. (This can be confirmed by checking his ADR stats for this year which I'm sure would be pretty good).
He also HAS set a precedent for playing sentinels aggressively, by taking aggressive timings and buying more space for the team on lurks.
meteor is not a top5 player and potentially not a top10 player of all time. he has not set a precedent for how an agent or role should be played, his two trophies are close to each other showing that he has not had long-term success, he has only been in the top tier since early 2023, and he did not play well for one of the trophies he "earned."
compare this to an easy top5 player such as Yay who carried his team to a trophy, set the record on how to play strong agents such as Chamber and also made multiple finals.
I love cryo so this may be a little biased but he's a really good shooter, so he'll always hang around in tier 1 and do well statistically, but for him to reach the next level he needs to figure out his roles, he can play smokes but it's a bit like demon1 and keiko where he can play some of them on some maps.
I think he'll fry on sentinel, he should do a meteor.
Also GE's micro stuff was very good initially but it fell off massively after juvie left, so maybe elevated is better at the macro and needs someone for the micro which this guy could do well I imagine
damn how did you find the image
tanmay leaked it and he's almost always very accurate
They do need someone to stay with elevated when mce leaves, not sure if chet is the best option though
I think it's because GenG don't have meteor and people generally don't think that highly of foxy9. PRX can seem like they 'just' made it to Toronto and RRQ is a new team going to internationals making them prone to choking under the pressure.
Here's what I personally think: Since the meta is about to change, the tournament will be very unpredictable. Teams that take a while to get a read on the meta like GenG, SEN can fall off especially since they will directly play in group stages without any new VODs. PRX will have a resurgence as tejo goes out of the meta, sunset comes back and they were never a team to play meta anyway, they can play on their strengths and do well, plus, we already know the individuals on that team are brilliant. RRQ will need jemkin to keep firing and they will also get VODs to study before they play since they will start in playoffs.
I think people are genuinely underrating PRX
The lack of IGLs hurting again, this is why I think velocity is unbeatable within SA. They have a good igl, a good duelist, best indian players in lighningfast and skrossi.
Benching Deathmaker is dirty stuff no? I think he's one of the best Indian players at least when playing within SA.
o7 too bad he could only get a few chances but you learn from setbacks and come back stronger
If Patrick somehow ends up opening this thread:
YOU WERE NOT PICKED JUST BECAUSE OF THE NEON META, WE'VE SEEN YOU FRY ON JETT TOO LAST YEAR BOUNCE BACK STRONGER KING
Hot take: They won't find someone better than jremy for now, Patrick will be good once he spends some time in t2 gets his confidence back. Azys though has a big problem of farming bad teams and sleeping against good teams man. He's better at it than before but it's still there.
I am inclined to think the coaching staff was fraudulent, remember they won 0 games with texture on duelist so it's not like just putting him on duelist would have fixed everything. The language barriers must have played a role in comms/team bonding.
Another mistake they do is not keeping good players from previous iterations of their rosters. Like after the 2023 season ended, I made a fantasy roster for them which kept their good old players and added some new proven players, the roster was: Texture, monyet, ayrin, kush, and blazeking
I think following that strategy can lead to great rosters over time.
That's one way to look at it but consider this:
If you're consistently making bad players look good then something is wrong within the team.
The team had a lack of synergy and confidence and not to mention juvenile leaving really hurt them, their game plans were just bad after he left. They did get veeery unlucky with tough groups in both the splits though, it's important to get wins to build confidence but against good teams that's just tougher. We believe tho.
From what they've revealed about the situation, PRX wanted to sign and Monyet also wanted to go to PRX now they could've either put him in contract jail or made the most of the situation and they did well to go with the second option.
man why the fuck we get the most fucked groups every time LMAO
WHAT IS THIS DRAW SYSTEM MAN FUCK THIS SHIT
but our job is to believe can't do anything
All this means is that PRX would be the champs if RRQ didn't get lucky on 2 maps
#Cope #TrackbyTrack
GGs to RRQ though, for winning huuuuge W for SEA
"no matter the stats" You just heard what sideshow said and turned on foxy9, stop taking what others say as the bottom line and use your own eyes and brain. He's really good aim wise but just needs to be more passive and understand timings better. Clearly, he's no meteor but he's still good.
No way, GenG had a deeper map pool, double map ban advantage and had just clapped sentinels a couple days earlier. GenG ended up loosing the close maps which is why SEN could win the series.
this is crazy lmfaoooo
but still doesn't beat tmv + sideshow costreams for me
they do have upset potential so it's all good
looks good, heres mine https://www.vlr.gg/pickem/f4c11c46
GE yt probably
GE academy won't touch these teams, but all good as long as we see some improvement
well that's a fair question, im glad he went to prx and resurrected them
This guy is so good how did GE not find him lmfaooo
So you're saying t1 has a 2-3% probability of beating top teams? that's just an incorrect claim that probability might apply to shit teams like GE DFM TS
T1 won RBHG in the off season showing that they have POTENTIAL to do GOOD
and they had been to internationals in previous seasons too so they have always had the POTENTIAL to do GOOD SOMETIMES
so fluke basically means the occurence of an unlikely thing because of luck, so when you say "fluke run" you basically mean t1 won masters because of their luck
Luck maybe played a small part but they won bangkok because they were BETTER BACK THEN
Now they have different comps, trying different things which isn't working, so that means NOW, they are NOT THAT GOOD
Understand?
Why can't vlr understand the simple thing that sometimes teams can be good and other times they can just fall off?
when they won masters they played well now they're not simple as that lmao
I think Rushi has talked about signing 5 koreans before and he said that would mean GE becomes the 5th Korean representative which is too much and riot might have some issues with it and allat
But we can use the argument used against SA representation, if there's just better Korean talent then why rep SEA instead of Korea? just rep the country with better talent.
They need a good head coach to make anything work
nah let's be honest you're trolling with that pick, there have been worse players just see stats from 2023 if you disagree
I definitely agree that 2/3 games aren't enough to judge which is why I think he probably underperformed in scrims too otherwise they wouldn't be kicking him this early. I do hope he's able to find himself on a different team though. From what he showed in PH t2, this kid is capable of so much more.
I wouldn't quite compare him with texture or monyet yet tho, they played really well when they were on the team. Monyet also probably had his peak as an individual on that team too, he hasn't performed like that as an individual since.
true, dexter is one of those shows which builds stories really well but the endings are usually pretty bad
but in retrospect maybe that horrendous season 8 ending is what allowed them to bring it back for new blood
original sin was pretty good though including the ending
