I can say that taking break helps. 3 months are not necessary but 3 weeks are absolutely fine.
U might be asking if ur aim gets worse but no. After 1 or 2 hours of playing u should be fine

And they still gave non franchised teams chance to play Global event. For me personally that was my main problem. I know its just 1 slot but at least smh.
