It cannot be denied that S1Mon does appear to have problems, with the entire EDG team coming out and criticizing him, with various pros within the CN scene backing them. On the other hand, according to leaked DMs, it may also be argued that the way EDG's manager, Aqua, treated S1Mon, was wrong. All in all, there are undoubtedly problems, and S1Mon will definitely leave EDG and probably has to change his ways to some degree. While it remains to be seen if any teams will want to pick him up at a moment's notice, his utility when he's feeling it is undeniably top of the class, and he will likely find a team.

With that being said, people on Twitter claiming that this is a political issue and bullying are just stupid.

I absolutely agree with your take there. While he has incredible utility usage, that doesn't excuse him from being an absolute bum outside of that.

S1mon is allegedly extremely quiet off camera, which in itself isn't a problem. However, the problem is that when they start stream, he acts like he is constantly ignored by the team despite their willingness to do so. He isn't truly committed to the team, and seems to have poor work ethic. He also has bad mental during big games, and seems pretty much unwilling to fix his poor aim while sliding teammates under the bus.

I think dropping S1mon is a perfectly reasonable action for EDG to take. Consistent underperformances and sabotaging team chemistry and mental is unacceptable at this level. Jieni7 on the other hand, has proven that he is versatile and is willing to fight for his spot. Fair decision from good ol' Edward, no?

When will rosters be updated? Some of these teams aren't even playing their players from the start of the season, and some players like vo0kashu, Rarga, etc (mainly CN teams) are rated way too low. EDG somehow has worse ratings all around than FPX.

Hey man, I do not mean to flame you or All Gamers or anything. Personally, I would like to see every Chinese team play well, and I really wished that their momentum from the start of last year with Bunt, Sword9 and monk when they looked decent macro-wise. I look forward to their future, but whatever they have currently should just be re-evaluated to just build around K1ra and deLb. Potentially, if one of DRG/XLG get relegated, I wouldn't mind AG picking up a Viva or a SpiritZ1 or happywei.
