Speaking of growth, other than the communities itself , how is the viewership in Tier 2? Kinda interested to see the contrast between CS and Valorant's Tier 2
I think people place a disproportionate emphasis on global reach when in reality global reach is useless if you can't utilize them properly, that's what makes CS good in my opinion, sure they're practically EU game but other than the fact that CS:GO is the better game( note that CS2 will catch up and they are) they still trumps valorant in most aspects.
(Just my opinion though, I will revise back to my textbook to confirm this π)
not just from this thread, but why do I feel like everyone is jinxing Heretics rn π€£
Nvm I reread it and you're actually not wrong
I think Northeption has the concept of "the 5th guy should be the fall guy" or they have a bad scout or the coaches ( both tinder and jaemin respectively) cannot assign the 5th role.
The players I'm talking about is
Maufin, wai , yowamu and tempura and thiefy, but I'm mainly going to talk about yowamu and wai.
Notice how most of them played a different role when joining Northeption.
Let's start with Maufin , tbh I have nothing to say about him lol, he started right from Northeption. If he played more games instead of going back to fortnite I might have something to say about him.
Then let's talk about Wai , the guy spent his time playing duelist ( stats wise on vlr no vods available) and he seems ok . But when he joined Northeption , he played as initiator. And his performance tanked , like so badly.
Next, yowamu the guy is now killing it at bc swell as duelist (occasionally he plays controller). He always played viper/Jett prior to joining Northeption, but when he joined northepion he was stuck playing controller and his performance tanked as well.
Tempura, I think he's just not good , his role is mostly consistent and he played badly with both scarz and northeption.
Thiefy, I think he should find a new team , he juggled every role except controller and somehow he managed to stay afloat. I think he can be a great player frfr.
TO BE CLEAR:
there are a lot of factors going into why a player performed badly in a team. So pinning all this to just northeption is a bit unfair. But northeption has somehow screwed wai , yowamu and potentially thiefy and I'm starting to get suspicious.
The match quality these players mentioned can be different prior to playing for northeption. Northeption plays in group stage , while the prior teams these players were at is playing in qualifiers. But Wai and Yowamu already looked struggling during qualifiers.
Tldr; if you are a new player in vcj , northeption could potentially make your resume look horrible.( avoid northeption)
But hey this is just a theory , A VCJ THEORY, Thanks for watching
The greatest career suicide ever
Except that because Rito is too broke ππ
His 2nd sentence is a bit ehhh but other than that he's not wrong
Tbh at this point just copy whatever cs does with their events
Update:
Art is now LFT . LFG he's back π₯π₯
ZETA is now opening slots for academy team, it seems like the current roster will be playing in VCJ next year π₯π₯.
Speculation: yotaa has just returned to France, is he taking a break or he's lft ?
If DFM decides not to do a roster change supporting Meiy then I need someone to give me a ridiculous amount of copium just to live for another day
You've just described what happen to JDG. Yeah they kept Stew and kicked Yoman out.
If you win with 2 imports that means you've got to kick one of them or somehow one of them apply for citizenship.
I needed Riddle to win so bad because viewership would increase+more jp audience and great for the franchsiing viewships as well;
but alas, I think SPG gonna win this
As far as I'm concerned , if an import in tier 2 got signed to tier 1 he's still considered an import, e.g Jemkin and something.
mb , i'm just saying what probably happens in pacific, I have no idea about EMEA

This guy might have occasional fuckups but other than that, he's good no?
Tbf needed more matches to see how he really is but there's not really any event to play
Nvm I don't think he's that hidden at all, he has a bit of a following. He just needs a better team
DFM Winning against T1 and ZETA is anything but the worst bro.
Can't wait to see what mommy looks like
Well they did secure Meiy's contract till 2027 but not the rest 4, so you can hope that dfm releases 4 of them.
Akame was seen using dfm card. And neth called him junior ( might be troll)
And from T1 leaks it seems like Akame won't join T1.soooo...
Maybe people will finally truly appreciate japanese crowd..
( welp looks like the crowd has been filled)
I did but admittedly I did very little.
Because my priorities rn are:
So yeah I might need to look back on sp1 π
And tbf by the time sp1 happened my I still haven't made my account
Nah we're good. Next year zeta will rebuild and DFM already secured meiy and will probably rebuild tooπ₯π₯.
I'm never qualified enough to tell who's good and who's bad aside from looking at vlr numbers , so I will have to trust you for that π
Was it when they are still on premier?
Update: Huh ?? Did I read it wrong ? Why are Delight changing their coach? The coach is now an active player in the roster?
Lol now I kinda understand what happened. Mello ( their coach) is LFT
Scarz are looking for Assistant coach and academy coach. Maybe after Satoshi frag the fuck out at BB perhaps scarz realized their mistake Mello ( their coach LFT)
Nah bro Aspas is Japanese pride because he's playing Valorant with Japanese language
Idk, maybe like getting a player whose role has always been sentinels to Initiator (I'm talking about Hiroronnn)? This is Japanese org bro , they might have King midas' hands and can spot good potential players, but their roster moves are a different story.
Tbf I'm just talking in retrospect tho.
If DFM did not fuck up the roster moves like ZETA did this year, I can see them getting at least to 1 masters next year.
I just think threads like that are so boring because everyday you have at least one thread like that and it's always the same teams.
That's the thing about these teams(not just RRQ), their viewerships are tooooo dependent on their performance, and that is not sustainable. If RRQ performed greatly the views would rise and if they didn't the views would drop, and not to mention the demographic who does this are probably the Indo PRX fans, so RRQ did very little effort to increase their market, their simply "borrowing" them from PRX
They need something consistent to hang on to. that's what separates ZETA and DFM (to a lesser degree) alike from other orgs.
Say what you want about idol culture, but it is the one saving grace the teams that do have it have when there's nothing more the team can show for.
Not really a good idea tbh :
Just my opinion tho someone mail John Needham.
I'm sorry for your loss π’(no joke, appreciated your devotion to KPI )
https://www.vlr.gg/380839/kpi-gaming-vs-cgn-esports-champions-tour-2024-emea-ascension-gf
Is it really though ?
VCT ID's viewership only skyrocket when it's PRX and even if RRQ does rise it's clearly far far lower tha the level of PRX.
So everyone doesn't bust their nut just by looking at mommy vyse and the Crew member have to wipe their jizz off the chair across the venue
That's the thing, they practically never did. What's the use of huge population when none of them ever shows up in viewerships. I can also say the same about RRQ tbh, but at least they did their job of representing ID(partially) even though their viewership sucks.
Or if we are hellbent on keeping the South Asian demographic, relegate GE and get another Indian org who's willing to do their job unlike GE.
I think it's more of a high risk high reward. GE exists lol.
Nah I just don't enjoy talking shit about players and coaches in generalπ
I'm surfin' that curve and ain't no one goin' to stop me π€€π€€
My urge tells me to relegate global esports because aside from Skrossi and LightningFast, they did absolutely nothing about representing India and South Asia as a whole.
The difference is KC got enghh while GE got Eraser( sry Eraser)
Remove dfm and the views will suffer , remember that CR screwed up the paperworks so DFM had to fill in in the end.
And CR is the Far popular org by all metrics. Not to mention you have orgs like murash and riddle still lurking in Tier2(although they lacked the business and history like dfm and zeta).
You have at least 40k loyal fans who will watch zeta and dfm and that's not even talking about watch parties or if any of zeta and dfm even qualify for masters. These numbers are nothing to sneeze at, even in T2 Valorant you will get similar if not more than t1 itself
After all that investments into the Jp t1 and t2 I doubt the japanese fans would like it if their spot got reduced to 1 and riot probably knows that.
I had just woken up from a bad nightmare.
Where the players that I hailed as the future of japanese Valorant all turned out to be imports ( context: some of these players are sooooo obscure that finding their Twitter is not that easy) and we're back to square one ....
Thank God it was just a dream.
100% .
But I can see why not a lot of ppl outside of fate community watched it , it's because there's like 2 shows you need to first get into before you can start watching heaven's feel π
