The fact is that "game changers" events will never be taken seriously, because they:

1. aren't playing to eventually compete at the highest level
2. have a game quality lower than that of tier 2

Frankly, it doesn't matter what "gimmick" events that they pull, nobody will care either way.

ok as much as i've hated on drx for the past 9 months or so (had to jump to geng after tokyo)
they ain't THAT bad
yeah sure their roles are fucked now without zest (foxy9 on viper wtfffff + i also hate stax on sova/fade)
but they were on the verge of beating geng on map1 (throw like usual) and would've made map 3 competitive
compared to t1, who got bitchstomped by prx, they are still aight and will go to madrid

context is important? for the record, i don't remember these rounds, but if the omen is going to die if they don't stop/slow down a push, then it's definitely worth using--what's the point of saving it if you're going to die?
also, using it at a chokepoint, if your team is almost rotated would be even better than using it for retake, since even if you have a really good retake it's still better to not let them plant at all.

paranoia is the strongest "flash" ability in the game
all of the top teams know how to integrate it into their retakes
not discrediting tenz, but the main determinant should be how they use it on the fly
(which for the record is nowhere close to 90%)
