As a professional larper of agents (not really its self promoted so do with that what you will)
This (in my opinion) is what should be done
Cooldowns should not be Uniform
For every single TMV fan who exists the reasons should be obvious. For those who arent. Lets make it simple : Not All Signatures are Made Equal A Breach Stun is in no way equivalent to a Sova Dart, and a Skye Flash is in no way equivalent to a KAY/O knife, yet they all carry the 50s cooldown, and a Raze Grenade is in no way equivalent to a Neon Slide.
Scale the Cooldowns based on the value of a signature. That the more valuable one gets, the less available it is to make good players and wise timings be even more useful
Effect Durations should be different. Not all effects are made equal. We see this done well with Flashes. A Vyse flash has a max flash duration of 2s, while a Yoru flash 1.5s. A Neon stun vs a breach stun on the other hand... 2.25s regardless... Like in what way are these equivalent to each other. The Neon stun is able to be aligned precisely to where people are, has no sort of charge time, and can be Instantly thrown even while in the run state... How is it equivalent? Idk
Give Agents Multiple uses of their tools regardless. Unless of course its so potent that it should not be possible. And it should scale with the agent. With Initiators and Sentinels carrying the Most utility for their respective sides because of the inherent role they carry to either setup an execute or setup a barrier of control. For controllers they inherently carry their smokes as their tool and that isnt a problem. And the reason Duelists should have less uses, because otherwise their utility is so strong that playing anyone else is useless. We see that with Phoenix, he can burn so many flashes for fights that there's no reason to play any other flash initiator with him
Smokes should have different Radii.
Fundamentally: Give Agents so many different variables you can build with. Smoke Radii, cooldown timer, utility charges, everything under the sun because that gives reasons to play one over another. Maybe Viper's Poison orb was more "volumetric" Like the ult giving better reasons to use the orb. Or Brimstone's smoke while also being the longest smoke, also instead of being the awkward circle, is a square that more better covers weird off angles
